PRESIDENCY of the COUNCIL of MINISTERS resolution No. 106/X given that the Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Tunisia enjoy excellent bilateral relations; Whereas both States acknowledge the importance of strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation; Aware of the need for coordination of social security measures, in order to ensure equal treatment in the access to and provision of benefits arising directly from the application of the legislation of each of the parties or of the application of this Convention. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: to approve the Convention on Social Security between the Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Tunisia, signed at Tunis on November 9 2006, the text of which, in the authenticated versions in Portuguese, Arabic and French If published in the annex.
