PRESIDENCY of the COUNCIL of MINISTERS resolution No. 117/X 1 given that the Portuguese Republic is part of the North Atlantic Treaty, adopted in Washington on 4 April 1949; Whereas the decision to invite the Republic of Croatia to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was taken by consensus by the heads of State and Government of the Atlantic Alliance, at the Bucharest Summit in April 2008. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: to approve the Protocol of accession of the Republic of Croatia to the North Atlantic Treaty, signed in Brussels on 9 July 2008, whose text, authenticated versions in the languages English and French, as well as their translation into Portuguese language , published in the annex.
