MOTION FOR RESOLUTION N. 96 /X

Considering the signing by the Portuguese Republic and the Kingdom of Spain of the

Protocol for Revision of the Convention on Cooperation for Protection and the

Sustainable Utilisation of the Waters of Luscious River Basins-Espanholas and the

Additional Protocol;

Recognizing the importance and need to define in a more detailed manner the

flow regime of the waters of the luscious river basins-Spanish;

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

Approve the Protocol of Review of the Convention on Cooperation for Protection and the

Sustainable Harnessing of the Waters of Luscious River Basins-Espanholas

(Albufeira Convention) and the Additional Protocol, agreed at the political level during the 2 th

Conference of the Parties to the Convention, held in Madrid, on February 19, 2008, and

signed on April 4, 2008, the text of which, in the authenticated versions in the Portuguese languages

and castelhana, publishes in annex.
