MOTION for a RESOLUTION paragraph 84/X 1 Considering the commitment of the two States to develop and strengthen the friendly relations existing between both; Knowing that, belonging to the same geographical space, understanding and mutual cooperation will facilitate development and regional stability; Given that cooperation between the two States, both in the military area, as technological and industrial areas in the area of defence, promotes regional peace and security. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: the agreement of cooperation in the field of Defense between the Portuguese Republic and the people's Democratic Republic of Algeria, signed in Lisbon on 31 May 2005, whose text, authenticated versions in Portuguese , Arabic and French, if published in annex and interpretative diplomatic notes to articles 3, 6 and 9 of the Agreement, exchanged between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Portuguese Republic and the Embassy of the people's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Lisbon, which also published in annex.
