MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 82 /X

Considering the will to strengthen and increment international judicial cooperation in

criminal matter;

Considering that this Agreement serves the interests of the good administration of justice and

provides people who find themselves deprived of their freedom the possibility of

comply with the conviction in their own social and family background of origin;

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

Article 1.

Approve the Convention on the Transfer of Condensed Persons among States

Members of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, signed in the City of Praia in

November 23, 2005, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language, publishes

in attachment.

Article 2.

Declare, for the purposes of the provisions of Article 6 of the Convention, that the Central Authority of the

Portuguese Republic for the purposes of applying for the Convention, is the Attorney General of the

Republic.
