MOTION for a RESOLUTION paragraph 79/X 1 Considering the objective of promoting an international air transportation system based on fair competition between air carriers in a market with minimal government intervention and regulation the; Recognizing the need for a gradual opening of the markets with a view to the liberalisation of air services between the parties; Whereas this agreement constitutes an important step towards the realization of an integrated transatlantic aviation market beneficial for consumers. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: Approving the agreement between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the United States of America, of the other part, signed in Brussels on 25 April 2007 and in Washington on 30 April 2007 including annexes 1 to 5 and the Joint Declaration, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language, if published in the annex.
