MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 72 /X

Considering the aim of creating better conditions for economic relations between

European Union and Albania and for the development of trade and trade

investments essential factors for economic restructuring and modernization;

Taking into account the need to strengthen economic linkages and establish a

close and enduring relationship based on reciprocity and common interest, so as to

enable Albania to consolidate and extend relations with the Community and its States-

Members;

Recognizing the importance of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, within the framework of the

Stabilization and Association Process for the countries of south-eastern Europe, for the

establishing and consolidation of a stable Europe based on cooperation and the Covenant of

Stability.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

To approve the Stabilization and Association Agreement between the European Communities and the

their Member States, on the one hand, and the Republic of Albania, on the other hand, signed in the

Luxembourg, on June 12, 2006, including Annexes I to V, protocols n. ºs 1 a to 6, and

the final act with the statements, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language, if

publishes in annex.
