1 MOTION for a RESOLUTION paragraph 66/X Considering the need to fight effectively against fraud and any other illegal activities affecting the financial interests of the Contracting Parties; Considering that the achievement of these objectives requires the extension of administrative assistance and mutual assistance in criminal matters; Recognizing that for both the European Union and its Member States, and Switzerland, increased cooperation in the fight against criminal activities has advantages. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: to approve the cooperation agreement between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the Switzerland Confederation, of the other part, to combat fraud and any other illegal activities affecting their financial interests including the Final Act with declarations and the agreed minutes of the negotiations that attaches, signed in Luxembourg on 26 October 2004, the text of the authenticated version in Portuguese language if published in annex.
