Short Title
Regulations on stocking of freshwater fish, etc.
Adopted by the Ministry of Environment (now Climate and Environment Ministry) 11. November 1993 pursuant to the Act of 15 May 1992 no. 47 on salmonids and freshwater fish, etc. § 9.

§ 1. Scope These regulations apply launching the waterways of anadromous salmonids, freshwater fish and other freshwater organisms including live eggs or chicks for cultivation purposes.
§ 2. Permission may in rivers for cultivation purposes without special permission is forbidden to put out fish and other freshwater organisms for cultivation purposes. The prohibition does not launching in hatcheries with a valid permit under regulation 30 December 1992 no. 1232 on the establishment and operation of hatcheries for fish and crayfish.
May be permitted to deliberate release of a native population for cultivation purposes. As a native population considered fish or other freshwater organisms originating from the original local population. It may also be authorized deployment of freshwater fish from the same cultivation zone.
County governor may grant permission for deployment of anadromous salmonids in fresh water, and freshwater fish and other freshwater organisms that are not managed by the county.
County authorities may grant permission for deployment of freshwater fish and other freshwater organisms that are managed by the county.
§ 3. Conditions for release permit In launching the permit should be laid down regarding:
1.
Which strains to be used
2.
Production site for launching material
3.
Launching material origin and quality
4.
Number of individuals, launching place and time,
5.
Duty warning before launching the control of stocking material and release.
In addition, there may be other terms.
§ 4. Penalties Violation of these regulations is punishable, cf. § 49 of the Act on salmonids and freshwater fish, etc.
§ 5. Entry into force These regulations enter into force on 1 January 1994. From the same date the Royal Decree. of 22 November 1985 no. 1988 on the deployment of anadromous salmonids, freshwater fish, freshwater crayfish and food animals.
