Parent provisions Chapter 1. Forskriftens work areas section 1-1. The regulation applies to the recording, study, exams and degrees at the Norwegian environmental and Biosciences University (NMBU), including also exams outside the NMBU that is responsible for the NMBU exam.

§ 1-2. The regulation also applies to eksaminander that is not taken up as students at NMBU, once these are given the right to retake the exam.

Chapter 2. Regulatory provisions section 2-1. In cases where the decision-making authority is added to the University, meet decisions of the principal or the principal gives power of attorney to. It appears from the regulations which the authority is given. Where the decision-making authority is added to University Board itself or the Faculty Board itself, can not be delegated authority.

Chapter 3. Language and information rights section 3-1. NMBU is committed to provide information about the regulations, studies and topics on the Norwegian and English. This information should be available on the website. NMBUs By tolkings questions and doubts are added the Norwegian text to the reason for the review.

section 3-2. The University can use all submitted exam works to the educational and research purposes. The works can not be released or used for any other purpose without the special deal mellomfakultet and student.

Recording Chapter 4. Capture frames and regulation section 4-1. Recording frame for the individual program of study is determined by the University Board.

Chapter 5. Opptakskomiteer § 5-1.

(2) Director of studies shall appoint central recording Committee. The Central opptakskomiteen will make the decision about admission in accordance with this regulation and rank applicants as it cannot be counted for points. Opptakskomiteen shall consist of one representative from each of the faculties at NMBU, one representative from NMBUs study selection (NMBU-SU) and two student representatives. The members of the Committee be appointed so that the overall, and to the greatest possible extent, represents the University's total educational offers. Academic Affairs (by recording the Office) is saksbehandlende body for the Central opptakskomiteen.

(3) at admission to veterinary school is reserved a study space for qualified applicants from Iceland. They can be taken up outside of the ranking rules that is the basis for calculating scores.

(4) by admission to the veterinary study opptakskomiteen can make exceptions from the ranking rules for a Sami seeking who are eligible for admission.

(5) by admission to the 2-year master's program and higher extra grade should faculty that is responsible for the program cut back a capture Committee with at least four members, of which two students. The Committee should consider whether the applicants are academically qualified and make a ranking. For applications where the responsibility is shared between several faculties, to opptakskomiteen consist of a representative from each of the faculties involved and at least two students.

Chapter 6. Admission to the reason studies section 6-1. Rules for admission to basic studies through Samordna opptak (SO) are determined by the Ministry.

§ 6-2. When applying through SO they apply national deadlines set out by the Ministry for the application, documentation and redirection of the response deadline by offers of study space.

section 6-3. Rules for admission to basic educations out of SO determined by the University Board of directors after recommendation from the NMBU-SU.

section 6-4. The principal can fix closer to guidelines for the real competencies assessment within the framework the Ministry has laid down.

Chapter 7. Admission to the higher extra grade section 7-1. Students with relevant education from other institution can apply for admission to the higher extra grade in the study.

section 7-2. By-recording for veterinary study if there are vacant places on the study veterinary study at a later stage it may be made by-recording. section 7-3. section 7-4. Admission to the 2-year master's program and 5-year-old master program For admission to the 2-year master's program and higher extra grade of 5-year master's program is required that the applicant has a bachelor's degree, URcand.mag. degree or have completed similar study races of at least 180 study points range. NMBU-SU can, after further rules, make exceptions from this provision. Exception be made in special cases on the basis of documented application. The application shall include the reason (s) to the lack of completed recording the basis. For experience-driven master studies of 90 or 120 study points range required in addition, at least two years of professional practice that are relevant to the subject portfolio in the study.

§ 7-5. Conditional admission Applicants who lack a maximum of 10 credits from achieving a bachelor's degree at NMBU, may be granted conditional admission if the applicant can document obtained bachelor's degree in the course of one year after the recording. Applicants with any recording basis from other educational institution than NMBU can also be granted conditional admission, if they can provide written documentation from the educational institution stating that the applicant lacks a maximum of 10 credits from achieving bachelor's degree or other valid recording the basis of the institution. Students who have been granted conditional admission, but who do not meet the conditions for the recording within the prescribed time limit, lose the study right. The decision can be appealed. NMBUs appeals is complaint authority.

section 7-6. Fagkrav it is determined in the study plan for the individual master the program which applies to fagkrav as the recording. Subjects claim to the 2-year-old master studies must contain 80 credits dental. In addition, it can be fagkrav for example, other, mathematics, statistics or relevant practice. The lower character limit is C (number value 2.50) of admission to higher extra grade and 2-year-old master studies.

section 7-7. Weighting and relevance of admission applicants are ranked after weighting and relevance from previous education. If the applicant's testimony is not in line with the ECTS-scale, the duties of the applicant itself to attach information that make the conversion to the ECTS-scale possible. All grades on transcripts/diplomas that are necessary to fill the recording requirement, is considered in the average grade. At the average of the only letter grades are used the following numeric values: A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2 and E = 1. Topics with the grade "pass"/"fail" not converted and are not included in the average calculation.

section 7-8. Requirements for English knowledge It required documented knowledge in English for admission to all master's programs. For the English-language master's program are required in addition documented knowledge in Norwegian.

§ 7-9. Requirements for knowledge in Norwegian For applicants from countries outside the Nordic countries, it must be documented sufficient knowledge in Norwegian. This requirement can be covered with one of the following samples:-passed the exam in Norwegian on Vg3-level (the knowledge)/norsk as a second language at the VKII level.

-passing the exam from step 3 in Norwegian for foreign students at the universities.

-passing the exam from 1-year-old college course of study in Norwegian language and social studies for foreign students.

-test in Norwegian-higher level, writing ("bergenstesten") with a minimum of 450 points or Passing grade (new grading system as of October 2009).

section 7-10. English-language master's programs For admission to the English-language master's program comes to one of the following special entrance requirements in English:-English from VG1 in Norwegian secondary school, (årstimer 140) with a rating of 4 or better-English immersion from Studying or Vg3 with the passing grade-test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 580 points for Paper-based test (PBT) or 92 points for the Internet-based test (IBT)-international English Language Testing Service (IELTS Academic) with at least 7.0 points-other approved documentation after individual assessment.

section 7-11. The coordination of the master program admission to the master program is coordinated. It can be searched on up to three program in order of priority. Applications to the English-language and English-language master's programs are considered in the same recording. Admission to master studies specially adapted as further education offer is made as a separate local recording.

section 7-12. Students from other institutions and cooperation programme students coming from other institutions compete on equal footing with their own students at NMBUs recording. Also students coming through the cooperation programme, such as the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Building in the Higher Education and Research for Development (Norhed), competing on an equal footing with their own students at NMBUs recording. This is regulated through the allocation from the Centre for international education (SIU).

§ 7-13. Quota regulation NMBU-SU may in exceptional cases impose quota regulation of admission.

section 7-14. Deadlines deadlines for application, redirection of documentation and the response deadline by offers of study space is determined by the NMBU-SU. The application deadline to the 2-year-old master's programs and higher extra grade is 1. June. Chapter 8. Admission to the research training (ph. d.) and researcher line veterinary study section 8-1. Recording research training (ph. d.) Rules for admission to the research training (ph. d.) is determined by the University Board.

section 8-2. Research line in veterinary medicine Researcher line is a two-year additional course of study by professional study in veterinary medicine. The research project is in the 90 credits and training part of 30 credits. Closer to the rules for recording and execution of the research line is determined by the responsible faculty.

Chapter 9. Admission to ppu (PPU) § 9-1.
(1) to be taken up to the PPU must the applicant document expertise who qualify for teaching and dissemination within science or nature of use, or a combination of these.

(2) NMBU-SU lays claim to competence to qualify for teaching in science and/or natural use, jf. framework plan for the ppu.


(3) the deadlines for application, redirection of documentation and the response deadline by offers of study space is determined by the NMBU-SU. Distribution of study places in the various search groups and ranking schemes of applicants is determined by faculty who are responsible for education.

(4) by admission to the PPU to responsible faculty cut back a capture Committee with at least four members, at least two of these should be students.

(5) Applicants to the PPU must put forward the police certificate in connection with recording the corresponding police certificate that is required for the professional exercise, cf. UH-law § 4-9.

Chapter 10. Admission to individual topics section 10-1.
(1) at admission to the individual topics applies the General requirements as at admission to the program of study, i.e.,. General admission requirements and any special entry requirements.

(2) the assessment of General admission, any special entry requirements and the allocation of study right is done by the study Department (by the record Office). Assessment of admission to the subject (s) with the quantity restriction or with 300-or 400-code is determined by the subject responsible faculty.

(3) the deadlines for application for admission to individual topics are 1. June for topics in the fall semester and 1. November for topics in the spring semester.

(4) Veterinary and animal usually do not have programmes undertaken recordings to individual topics.

section 10-2.
(1) NMBU-SU can fix additional requirements after recommendation from the subject responsible faculty.

(2) it is not allowed to conduct graduate task (s) without being admitted to a program of study.

Chapter 11. Admission to the after-and continuing education section 11-1. By admission to further education comes to the General requirements for admission to basic studies. The evaluation of admission and the allocation of study right is done by the Centre for after-and further education (SEVU). Registration for the after-and further education is sent to SEVU.

section 11-2. Deadlines for application, redirection of documentation and the response deadline by offers of study space is determined by the SEVU.

section 11-3. It comes to no special requirements for admission to the postgraduate course.

Chapter 12. Admission to additional education in veterinary and animal usually programmes undertaken section 12-1. For admission and ranking of students to additional education; i.e. education for veterinarians and animal caregivers with education from abroad and who do not receive authorization in Norway, comes to their own guidelines.

Chapter 13. Recording of the guest students § 13-1.
(1) the requirements of admission of the guest students are determined through agreements between the cooperative institutions and NMBU.

(2) the application deadline for the fall semester: 1. March for applicants outside Europe and 1. June Erasmusstudenter. Application deadline for the spring semester for all mentioned categories: 1 October.

Chapter 14. Postponement of the study start (booked study place) section 14-1.
(1) applicants who are admitted as students at the NMBU can get a one-year postponement of the study start by disease, pregnancy, military service or special welfare reasons.

(2) application for a deferred start is sent and is determined by the study Department. The need for subject study start must be documented. Work, education or vacation does not provide the basis for the booked space study.

Chapter 15. Complaint about decision on the recording section 15-1.
(1) applicants have complaint right on decisions regarding admission to the course of study in accordance with the administrative law chapter VI. Appeal deadline is three weeks. Management Act, section 29.

(2) Complaint over individual decisions for inclusion in the national recording model (NOM) for basic educations at universities and colleges, are processed by the National appeals for admission via SO.

(3) the complaint on individual decisions for admission on the basis of local recording is handled by NMBUs appeals.

Chapter 16. Fake diplomas, fake documents and documents issued from the fake institutions § 16-1.
(1) the use of false testimony or other false documents is prohibited. The same applies for documents issued from the fake institutions.

(2) a diploma or document is false if the diploma or the document contains written or digital documentation that is not truthful, manipulation or changes in an original, written or digital, vitnemåls or document content.

(3) with documents issued from fraudulent educational institutions means the documents issued from non-existing educational institutions, from educational institutions that provide incorrect expression to have an accreditation for UH-section 3-1 or after the corresponding foreign regulations.

(4) the use of false testimony or false documents and other documents issued from the fake institutions will be we.

Studies chapter 17. Study the right section 17-1. Study right (1) the who have accepted offers of study space, the study right next to NMBU. section 17-2. The registration duty students with study right next to the NMBU is obliged to register each semester within the announced deadlines set by the NMBU-SU. For students with an educational plan, the registration shall fix and confirm information in the educational plan for the current semester. section 17-3. Requirements as to the own computer it can be set to the requirements that students with study right next to the NMBU have their own laptop computer in connection with learning activities or review.

section 17-4. Duration and termination of the study right (1) students who are admitted to a degree program at NMBU, the campus Hill, given a study right in one year beyond the prescribed time for the program. Students who are admitted to veterinary school is given a study right on up to eight years. Students who are admitted to the animal usually study be given a study right on up to four years.

(2) students lose the right study study when the time has expired. Leaves of absence after chapter 27 will not be counted as part of the registered study time.

(3) The who have lost the Court can study, apply for a new recording.

(4) the right to Study the program of study the student is admitted to, comes to an end when the student:-meet the requirements for the granting of diplomas for completed degree jf. Chapter 48.

-get admission to a different course of study at the same level by NMBU jf. Chapter 29.

-meet the requirements for the granting of diplomas for completed degree jf. Chapter 48.

-even written confirms that he/she resigns from the study before it is complete.

-has not paid the semester fee as well as do not have confirmed their education plan within the current limits cf. Chapter 24 and 34.

-does not pass the exam/review for the third time in a required topic (ev. fourth time try after granted application) jf. § 44-1 first and sixth paragraph.

-do not deliver the master task within the deadline and the absence of a written application and confirmation of the delay granted cf.. section 46-7.

-

achieve the rapids (F) on a reworked master thesis jf. section 46-13, third paragraph.

-Don't show to the oral discussion of the thesis, and the absence of a written confirmation of the granted reprieve jf. section 46-10 ninth paragraph.

-is 60 credits after the usual progression (in studies with special requirements to study progression applies to rules described in the study plan).

-in the course of one year do not have shown activity in the form of avlagte credits or part study abroad (in studies with special requirements to the credit point production comes to rules described in the study plan).

-who has been granted conditional admission does not meet the conditions for the recording within the prescribed time limit. § 7-5.

(5) students who are admitted to the individual topics will get a limited study right in up to one year beyond the prescribed time for the topics.

§ 17-5. Requirements to study progression for veterinary and animal usually programmes undertaken For veterinary and animal usually applies to the programmes undertaken special requirements for credits production for each year of study. These requirements emerges from the study plan. The following additional provisions apply:-a student without permission cancels the study for longer than three months, lose the study right.

-by the absence from the mandatory teaching that exceeds that which can be approved for the subject, neglected teaching be taken again. Provisions on what that exceeds the requirement of approval within each topic, to be immediately of the study plan.

-If a student fails to complete the required replacement instruction, or if a student has been so much away from mandatory teaching that neglected teaching is inapplicable at the same year's coal, Manager decide that he or she should be moved down to a lower annual coal. If the criteria for nedflytting are present, and the person concerned has already been nedflyttet student, academic Director of veterinary and animal education usually decide to deprive the student study space.

section 17-6. Any exceptions-suspended study right in up to one year By the studies on the campus Hill settled any exceptions from the termination rule on study the right of responsible faculty in consultation with the study Director. Chapter 18. The academic year and student work hours section 18-1. Study this year's section (1) fall semester begins in mid-august and ends ultimo December. Spring semester begins January and finish the primo ultimo June. During this period will be teaching and examination be conducted normally.

Teaching in the clinic can take place throughout the calendar year, but the individual student should not have more than 40 study weeks in total.
Mandatory practices and new and deferred exam (kontinuasjonseksamen) for veterinary and animal students can usually be added outside the ordinary academic year.

Friday in week 19 Exam period approximately week 20-21 New try/deferred exam about week 22 Juniblokk approximately week 23, 24, 25, 26 Block exam about Friday in week 24, 25, 26 semester about Friday week 26 a) if holiday (s) occurs in the exam period be extended exam period with the corresponding number of days (teaching periods be extended on the other hand do not).

b) there are no teaching as of Monday after Palm Sunday and with 2. Easter day.

c) if there is a need for more than 1 exam day for examination in the januarblokk or augustblokk, is added such exams normally until 18:00. 14 on Friday (s) in the block.

(4) at the campus Hill are Wednesdays from 18:00. 12-14 in parallel periods allocated for democracy hours. In particular cases, the Director of studies on the recommendation of the subject responsible faculty could grant exceptions for the field trip, out missions, laboratory exercises, or seminars.

§ 18-2. Student work hours per credits Expected study workload is averaging 60 credits per year.
Converted to student work hours, 60 credits a year normally had to require about 30 student work hours per credits and about 1800 student work hours per year.

Chapter 19. Authentication program of study section 19-1.
(1) it shall be approved plans for study all program of study that are offered by NMBU.

(2) any program of study should be approved in line with NMBUs quality assurance routines for the approval of the program of study. Quality assurance procedures should build on regulations 28. February 2013 No. 237 about supervision of educational quality in higher education (study the supervisory regulations) from the national body for quality in education (KUT).

(3) it should be apparent by the program description for the individual program of study of up to 10 credits with the topics on the 100-level can be included as part of the 2-year master's degree. In this case the emnekode and subject name given in the program description.

(4) study plans and study program descriptions will be revised annually.

Chapter 20. Creation and closure of the academic program section 20-1. University Board itself adopts the creation and closure of the academic program at the suggestion of responsible faculty and recommendation from the NMBU-SU.

Chapter 21. Creation and closure of the topics section 21-1. Faculty Board itself create and dismantle topics.

Chapter 22. Approval of the topics and requirements for subject description § 22-1.
(1) all topics must be approved in line with NMBUs quality assurance routines for the approval of topics and described in line with the guidelines prepared by the NMBU-SU.

(2) each topic should have a unique and descriptive name for the Norwegian (bokmål and nynorsk), and English.

(3) the subject responsible should be added on the NMBU and normally possessing scientific expertise on minimum amanuensisnivå.


(4) all threads should be verbose and provide information about described learning dividends in the form of general competence, knowledge and skills. In addition to the credits, implied knowledge, required activities, expected amount of work for the students in various activities and teaching and assessment forms be described. With all the topics is meant also all types of thesis as well as specialization tasks in the veterinary and animal care education.
Utilities (supporting code) that will be allowed during the examination shall also be stated in the topic description. The online version of the topic descriptions will always be the current one.

(5) Excursions can be set up as an independent study points in line with the rewarding subject the above description.

(6) all threads should be at a minimum of 5 credits. The exception applies to topics on the veterinary and animal usually studies.

(7) the topics should have the subject codes according to the following model:-a combination of 3 or 4 letters and 3 numbers-the first digit shows the level of the subject of the letters is determined by the faculties, and should be logical in relation to the content.

(8) the teaching of a subject can be cancelled, if fewer students are oppmeldt to a topic than what is stated as a requirement in the topic description.

Chapter 23. Special curriculum § 23-1.
(1) A special curriculum is a theoretical and/or practical work task that is not specified as a separate subject or as a part of a subject in the study Handbook (digitized version).

(2) Special curriculum can be taken in relation to the graduate thesis, jf. section 46-12, to be able to give a professional additional expertise for the work on the task. This may pose a greater specialization in a theme or give a larger width on the subject than the University's topics can provide. If special curriculum are included in the reference literature to master the task, the work of this curriculum involve a significant expansion in relation to what should be expected of work with reference literature. Main road Manager or additional tutor for graduate job in such cases will normally be the tutor for the student in the special curriculum.

(3) A special curriculum must be clear within the Faculty's area of expertise and teaching capacity. Two or more faculties can collaborate on a special curriculum, and it is the tutor (e) for the special curriculum that has the responsibility to make sure that the student (s) have a satisfactory professional background.

-Special curriculum can be performed by a single student or of a group of students.

-in each degree can only enter into two special pensumer.

-in a bachelor's degree may only enter into 10 credits special curriculum.

-in a 2-year master's degree may only enter into 20 credits special curriculum.

-in a 5-year-old master's degree may only enter into 30 credits special curriculum.

-the exception applies to special curriculum on the Ph.d. level and for Exchange students.

(4) Before starting it embodied a written agreement between the student and Advisor (s) (s). The agreement should include learning objectives, learning, level, the assessment scheme, scope, and responsibilities in relation to the Guide. The agreement must be approved by the faculty. (9) in cases where a student takes a special curriculum at NMBU, and this topic should form the basis for a graduate student's task by hjemmeuniversitet, this shall be stated by the "learning agreement" or the student's admission letter.

(10) Special curriculum in the diploma stating the title of the curriculum and credits. The title of the special curriculum to be released on the bokmål or nynorsk and in English.

(11) single topic students cannot take special curriculum.

Chapter 24. Educational plans, declarations and special provisions section 24-1. Educational programs (1) students who are admitted to the studies of the 60 study points scope or more, during the first semester enter into an individual educational plan in cooperation jointly responsible faculty.

(2) Educational plan can be revised and should be confirmed by the student each semester within the deadlines set by the NMBU-SU.

The need must be documented with a certificate from the physician or other expert cf. Chapter 38. It is assumed that the arrangement is practicable for NMBU and does not go beyond academic quality.

Chapter 25. Part study by other institution § 25-1.
(1) in the mainstream study by NMBU has the student the opportunity to take a part course of study at a different University in Norway and abroad. Part study will say one or more topics that are included in the educational plan, including practice, special curricula and graduate tasks such as moderated by NMBU. Study stay must be pre-approved before departure.
After the student's return to NMBU to apply for a final approval of subjects taken during the study stay.


(2) Faculty/faculties will determine how much of a part study that may be included in the student's educational plan and degree at NMBU, and the faculty to pre-authorise study stay at the other institution.

section 25-2. NMBU should facilitate for part study abroad through to give general guidance about the cooperation agreements, financing options and insurance schemes.

Chapter 26. Approval of education taken at the other institution § 26-1.
(1) degree, subject or topic group from another institution by rating can replace the corresponding subject or topic group by NMBU, will be credited to the student with the same number of credits with the restrictions laid down in this regulation Chapter 48.
NMBU shall ensure that it not be given double value for the same subject content.

(2) If a topic is included in the recordings the basis to a program of study, the topic does not form part of the current level.

(3) in good writing education who have previously entered into the calculation base for a degree or as part of a degree or professional training, a student must also have completed at least 60 new credits before it can be issued a new diploma or be assigned to a new degree.

Chapter 27. Study leaves of absence section 27-1. Study leave (1) students who are admitted to a program of study at the NMBU can search on leave from studies for a limited period.
Students may seek leave from the study for a period of up to two years.

(2) the birth and care for children gives the right to a leave of absence, jf. UH-law § 4-5. Leave may also be given because of other care tasks, illness, military service, demanding tasks in student organizations and other special conditions. It will not be given leave to take other education or to go over at work.

(3) on the 1-and 2-year-old studies, bachelor's and master's programs can leave be granted provided that the student has achieved at least 15 credits within their program of study.

(4) For students of the veterinary and animal usually programmes undertaken does not apply the requirement of at least 15 credits to seek leave of absence. Students who are granted leave out over three months on veterinary education moves down a coal. On this study comes in addition to the leave time right as the student has to extended study time.

(5) in cases where a student takes a leave of absence after having entered into an agreement about graduate task, the task must be revised in graduate agreement ahead of the leave period.

§ 27-2. Prerequisites to take the exam by granted leave of absence (1) A student who has been granted study leave are given opportunities to take the exam on NMBU during the leave time provided that the following conditions are met:-other NMBU-students are oppmeldt in the topic/topics-the student must be signed up in the topic/topics-the student must have paid the semester fee within the specified deadlines.

(2) students who have leave from NMBU do not have the right to attend classes, and also do not have claims on a student work space by NMBU.

Chapter 28. Reduction in the credits section 28-1. Students who take the exam in topics by NMBU as professional overlap partially or completely, reduced its total credits sum for the relevant topics. The extent of the reduction be adopted of the faculties at the suggestion of the subject responsible (e) Faculty and should be apparent to the subject description.

Chapter 29. Transition to other program of study section 29-1.
(1) students may apply transition to other program of study.
The exception applies to the veterinary and animal usually studies.

(2) application for transition to other program of study will be submitted to the faculty who administers this program. Application deadline: november 1, with effect as of 1. January 1. with effect from June 1. August.

(3) by the transition to a different study program assumes that the student takes all required topics on the study the student get the transition to. Students who need individual customizing, must prepare a revised educational plan that must be approved by school guidance counselor or faculty.

(4) the main criteria for the transition:-By transition from one study programme to another, there must be space on the current study program that sought to transition to. Study the program's requirements by recording must be met.

-students seeking transition during the first half of the year the study by NMBU, ranked by total competition points when shooting. Students seeking transition later in the study, ranked by the faculty.

Chapter 30. The guest students and privatister § 30-1. The guest students that are on the NMBU according to an agreement, have the same right as mainstream students to follow the teaching and take the exam.

Assessment, the assessment arrangements and the complaint in connection with the examination Chapter 33. The assessment schemes, parts and forms. Mandatory activities § 33-1. In line with the quality assurance system to NMBUs all topics jf. section 21-1, fourth paragraph, a description of the knowledge, skills and general skills a student should have acquired by conducting the topic/topics. § 33-2. The assessment form, personal statement, scope and weighting (1) the assessment form can be final try, longitudinal assessment or a combination of these, and should be disclosed in the study plan and in the subject description for the individual subject. (2) in subjects with written work may require that the subject responsible is provided in a separate declaration form about plagiarism.

(3) scope and weighting between different exams or part exams that forms the basis for the final review with the determination of the final character, to go forward by the topic description.

(4) the examination shall normally be made in the form of individual trial.


§ 33-3. Closing the trial Subject responsible main responsibility has to design tasks to the closing try. Final trial is held and considered after the teaching of the subject is over. § 33-4. Oral test that the appraisal scheme If the assessment scheme contains an oral trial should this be public, unless the consideration of the implementation of the exam or test implies something else. The main rule is that NMBU has the responsibility to find the relevant practice space if the practice is mandatory. Exceptions may apply to certain types of practice on veterinary and animal usually programmes undertaken. In all studies/topics with practice to study the plan have criteria for the implementation and evaluation of practice.

(4) in studies organized in block periods, to excursions of several days duration normally is added to these periods. Students who have required out to get more flight covered the costs of transport and accommodation of the subject responsible faculty.

(5) Mandatory activities is normally valid until the next time the subject is offered. The subject responsible determines if the required tasks needs to be repeated by the renewed trial. Chapter 34. The right to retake the exam section 34-1. Semester fee and registration All who have paid the semester fee and is registered by NMBU semester, have fulfilled any requirements for mandatory teaching and is vurderingsmeldt (oppmeldt for exams) within the stipulated deadlines, have the right to retake the exam at NMBU.

section 34-2. Requirements for approved mandatory activity (1) before a student can take a given exam may be set requirements that required tasks to be approved. Demands for mandatory activities/study claims to go forward by the topic description.

section 35-2. Oppmelding

(1) the student has the responsibility to verify that he/she is oppmeldt to the examination, correct any errors and to keep abreast of the time and place of the examination. The student to volunteer up to the exam via the Student Web within the stipulated deadlines, jf. academic calendar for the campus Hill.

(2) students who do not sign up within the time limit will not go up to the exam.

(3) For oppmelding at a special curriculum to the student contact the students ' information square (SiT).

(4) students who have valid maturity after chapter 39 to the final try by ordinary time, can register for the new exam in the subject in the period for deferred exam and new try in the subsequent autumn-/our parallel. The same applies to students who have met the final try and not passed. Also by disease or strokes on the oral exam is required before new oppmelding exposed the exam/new specimen can be taken.

(5) For topics with longitudinal assessment a student can only register for the exam at ordinary times for the exam in the subject.

(6) Oppmelding to deferred exam or new trial be done on Student Web, or by contacting the students ' information square (SiT).

(7) students who have the right to go up to the new exam in a subject with "old" emnekode, does not automatically have the right to go up to the new examination in the "same" topic with new emnekode. In such cases, it is the student's responsibility to clarify this with the subject of responsible before the registration deadline.

§ 35-3. Oppmelding veterinary and animal care students of veterinary and animal usually studies are normally automatically oppmeldt to the ordinary exam and to new or deferred examination.
The student must register for the practical/clinical exam. Accordingly also apply to new or deferred practical/clinical exam.

Chapter 36. Implementation of the exam-including new and deferred examination § 36-1. Exam Schedule Semester section provides overviews of the exam periods jf. section 18-1 the third paragraph.

section 36-4. Exam questions/answer papers and-target form (1) exam questions are going to be released on the nynorsk and bokmål, if there are students who use both the target forms. Exam questions can also be designed in English if the topic description add this to reason.

(2) the exam answers can be delivered on the nynorsk, bokmål, Swedish, Danish or English. After the application can exam answer papers provided in other languages. The Dean of faculty or subject the responsible, he/she authoring, determine such applications.

(3) if the requirements for that exam in a subject can only be answered in English, is this going to be apparent to the subject description. § 36-5. The student's responsibilities and duties-attendance (1) Students are responsible for keeping abreast of the time and place of the examination.

(2) students should show valid photo ID, such as study cards.

§ 37-3. The student's responsibility-legal and illegal AIDS by examination (1) the students will need to bring remedy to the exam venue. This does not apply where NMBU sets at your disposal AIDS. Remedy shall be specified on the exam tasks. It is not allowed to have with other utilities than is permitted to the appropriate exam.

(2) students are responsible for ensuring that players do not include AIDS illegal notes. Loans of remedy from a student to another during the exam are not allowed.

(3) All access to and use of the mobile phone or electronic AIDS that contain communications equipment, in or outside the exam Hall, be regarded as cheating.

(4) with all types of calculators will mean a pocket calculator that is not related to the internet, the power grid or printer, do not communicate with other devices, not noisy and that only consists of a single article.

§ 37-4. Dictionary of foreign language exam students have the opportunity to have with the dictionary, from the native language to the Norwegian and Norwegian to native speakers. The corresponding rule applies if the exam is held in English (also applies to students with Norwegian as their native language on an English-language subject). The dictionary should be free of notes.
Students at the campus Hill with other native language than Norwegian are not given extra time there trying and is held on the Norwegian exam. The same applies for students who do not have English as their native language in which the examination is held in English.

§ 37-5. AIDS-cheating violation of aid provisions be considered cheating.

Chapter 38. Facilitation by exam/trial section 38-1. (2) the University Board provides guidelines about the routines by the suspicion of cheating.

§ 40-2. NMBUs appeals processes cases suspected cheating in line with the current law and policies.

Chapter 41. Sensors and censorship section 41-1. Sensor Guide All topics should have a sensor guidance and any evaluation should result in an appraisal expression (a character). All topics should have two sensors.

§ 41-2. Internal sensor Subject responsible teacher or main road leads should normally be internal sensor.

§ 41-3. The use of sensors in the following cases, at least one of the sensors be remote:-by evaluation of bachelor's and master's thesis-by oral examination or trial that cannot be verify-by the new content ratings as a result of the complaint over the formal errors by exam cf.. UH-law § 5-2 second paragraph-by complaint over character determination. UH-law § 5-3 fourth paragraph-by censorship of special curriculum.

For veterinary and animal usually veterinary programmes undertaken, the all exams/end reviews in a subject to be included on the diploma or transcript should be censored by at least two sensors. For a minimum of 1/3 of the exams will be one of the two sensors to be remote.

§ 41-4. External evaluation and control it should be external evaluation of assessment arrangements and/or the parts that are included in the karakterfast setting, that is to say:-external assessment of the actual presentation for consideration in a topic or external sensor to be together with the internal sensor participate by the design of the exam tasks and sensor Guide.

§ 41-6. Appointment of external examiners Exam responsible unit shall appoint examiners.
The one that takes on the sensor missions, taking at the same time on out to be sensor of any exposed try/new examination (kontinuasjonseksamen). It should be written contract between remote sensor and exam responsible unit.

§ 41-7. Implementation of censorship Censorship to be conducted anonymously so far this is practicable.
By change of the sensor as a result of the Act of maturity, the rating is considered the time limit from the time the answer is sent to the new sensor.

§ 41-8. Differences over setting the two karakterfast If the sensors cannot agree about the karakterfast setting, the sensureringen be supplemented with a third sensor. This sensor should be external. The new sensor will not be familiar with the first sensors their review and any grounds, before the sensor Group jointly determine the final grade.

section 41-9. Special conditions-By closing oral sample for a student group to the sensors make an individual assessment of the students.

Chapter 42. Disclosure of the censorship section 42-1. General rules the rating should be released within three weeks after graduation unless the Board has approved the University even a longer time limit.
The rating deadline for thesis is six weeks from the established submission deadline unless the Board has approved the University even a longer time limit.
If the current date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or other holiday, the deadline is the following business day.

§ 42-2. For longitudinal assessment and special curriculum by the campus Hill the following applies (1) For topics with longitudinal assessment where the topic ends with a written delprøve in the ordinary exam period is the rating deadline three weeks after the date of this sample. For topics with longitudinal assessment without concluding written delprøve in the ordinary exam period, the rating deadline to three weeks after the last teaching day in parallel/block period.

(2) For the special curriculum which is not associated with a graduate task, is rating the deadline three weeks after the last teaching day in parallel/block period.

§ 42-3. Assessment protocols (1) Completed the rating form to follow all the assessment protocols except by moderation of the thesis.

(2) If two sensors have participated in the sensureringen of all exam answers in a topic, should both sensor's signature be inflicted on the assessment protocol for the topic before the assessment protocol provided study Department. If one sensor only has participated in the sensureringen of the exam answer papers from a random sample, it is sufficient that this sensor type under the rating form.


(3) all ratings in the assessment protocol should be spelled out. It is not allowed with the recurring characters in the assessment protocol.

(2) when the character for written and oral performance is given together it may not be appealed separately over the character for one of the accomplishments. In such cases, the student can complain about the common character.

(3) the appeal deadline is three weeks from the grade were announced. The complaint shall be in writing and on the prescribed form that is sent electronically to the archive at NMBU.

(4) Complaint on the character can be drawn until the new rating Protocol is signed by the sensor. For a complaint on the character for graduate task, the complaint drawn up to the time of the holding of oral discussion.

section 43-3. New censorship (1) for a complaint to be made on the character of the new censorship with new sensors appointed by the faculty. The new sensors will not get the knowledge of the original character, the reasoning for this, or the student's grounds for the complaint. For proceedings shall apply the rules in the UH-law § 5-3. NMBUs instructions for sensors and sensor Guide should be followed.

(2) the Censorship as a result of the complaint shall be settled without undue delay, jf. administrative law section 11a. If the complaint cannot be processed within one month after it is received, it shall be sent out a preliminary answer to the student where it be accounted for the cause of this. If possible, it is provided when you expect to be able to process the complaint.

(3) new character may remain unchanged or be fixed to favour/detriment for the student.

(4) for a complaint over an overall grade for the written and oral performance (s) to the new sensors judge the written work. If the new content ratings of the written work causes the complainant wins the dispute in the complaint on the censorship of the written work, IE. changed the nature, the new oral test for the determination of the final character, jf. UH-law § 3-9 fifth paragraph.

(5) For the group working there just some of the group members complaining about the grade, going to a higher grade at the new censorship get the whole group to the good. A lower character should only have effect for the petitioner (s).

section 43-4. Formal errors upon graduation A student who has been up to the examination or trial can complain to NMBUs appeals of possible formal errors relating to all phases of the exam. The complaint can be sent to the subject responsible or directly to the Faculty appeals NMBUs. Complaint deadline and requirements to klagens content to follow the UH-law § 5-2. section 43-5. Complaint on formal errors and character (1) the right to complain about the character is maintained until any complain of formal errors are settled.

Chapter 44. Access to portray itself to the examination in the same subject multiple times § 44-1.

-students of veterinary and animal usually is given the opportunity of programmes undertaken not to take the exam again if it is passed.

(3) If a student is given the opportunity to and have graduated in the same topic more than once, the best character apply, and only this will be disclosed in transcript and diploma.

(4) students who join up to the new exam in a subject previously passed, are not entitled to follow the teaching of subjects with limited capacity, even if it is given permission to go up to the new exam.

(5) students who after three attempts have not passed the exam, after justified application to the academic affairs, be given dispensation to portray themselves for examination a fourth time.
One of the following conditions must exist:-by pass the exam in the subject will the applicant achieve an approved dental necessary for graduate achievement.

-by pass the exam on the subject of the applicant will be able to achieve a degree at NMBU.

-the applicant can document the social or personal reasons to that examination in the subject is not achieved within the set time (three attempts).

Chapter 45. The character rule/rating section 45-1.
(1) in the topic description to implies the character rule to be used "pass"/"fail" or letter grade.

(2) the thesis is graded with letter grade.

section 45-2. Letter grade (1) the letter grades go from A-F, where A is the best pass mark and E worst pass mark, while F is given by not passing.

(2) the grading of master tasks within mathematics, science subjects and technology ("MNT-subjects") follows a national system the same for all MNT-studies at the universities in Norway. This applies to master tasks made by the Faculty of environmental science and natural resource management, the Faculty of chemistry, biotechnology and food science, the Faculty of mathematical sciences and technology and the Faculty of life sciences.

(3) grading of master tasks within the finance and Administration follows a national system for master studies in business administration at the universities in Norway. By NMBU does this apply to master tasks made by the Norwegian School of (HH-NMBU).

section 45-3. Pass-no pass

(1) by rating the expression (the character rule) "pass"/"fail" to limit for passing is determined by the internal sensor and remote sensor in the community. In the subject to be disclosed in the description that a general description of the requirement to pass the character which are as follows: the candidate has fulfilled the requirements of the learning and show necessary knowledge, skills and competence.

Thesis Chapter 46. Thesis section 46-1. Requirements for thesis (1) in the bachelor's degree may enter into an independent work (bachelor's task). In the master's degree of 120 and 300 study point scopes should it enter into independent work (master's thesis). In experience-based master's degree of 90 or 120 study points scopes should it enter into independent work (master's thesis).

(2) The independent work can be one of the following:-bachelor's task: 15 study point scope-master thesis: 30 study point scope-master thesis: 60 study points range.

(3) the faculty can fix requirements to graduate the task's scope, subject areas and content of the study plan for the individual program of study.

(4) veterinary researcher at the studiets line required a degree task on 90 credits in addition to a training part of 30 credits. Forskriftens rules for veterinary students also apply to researcher line students.

section 46-2. Deadlines Registration deadline for thesis follows NMBUs academic calendar. There is no separate off hire deadline for graduate job. Any sign off must take place within the date/deadline for oppmelding.
Deadlines are normally-15. September for tasks with submission deadline 15. December 23:00. 15.45-1. February for tasks with submission deadline 15. May 23:00. 3. section 46-3. Guidance and tutorial (1) Faculty is obliged to give the student the correct and sufficient information about the work of graduate job before work starts.

(2) the Responsible Faculty shall appoint main road Manager and any additional supervisor (s) to the degree the task.

(3) the main road leading to be added in the academic position, in professor II-position or in the Adjunct Associate Professor position at NMBU.
NMBU to offer supervisors introduction in guided work.

(4) it shall be entered into the written partnership agreement (contract), which shall include:-name of the faculty, student and supervisor (s)-the parties ' duties in connection with the graduate job-project description-work schedule-cost plan.

Student and supervisors have to commit in accordance agreement's provisions.

(5) Faculty to check and approve the deal before the work on the task starts up. The agreement must be signed before the student can vurderingsmelde themselves to the degree the task.

(6) the supervisors to provide students with academic and methodological guidance and criticism of the work. If there are more coaches should it go forward of the agreement what kind of responsibility each supervisor has.

(7) the student has normally entitled to guidance in such a scope, which is also to include the veileders share of censorship:-Bachelor's tasks: 20 hours-Master tasks 30 credits: 40 hours-Master tasks 60 credits: 80 hours.

(8) the Faculty is responsible for the individual student to receive guidance that the student is entitled to. Faculty shall as soon as possible designate the new supervisor if a coach gets to maturity of longer duration.

section 46-4. Cooperation on the graduate Faculty that task can approve two or more students can perform fully or partly graduate task together, when the Faculty find cooperation proper regard to demonstrate and judge the students ' achievements. The cooperation agreement to prepare the students ' duties and rights in relation to each other, especially in terms of any termination of cooperation before filing.

section 46-5. Language, form and filing (1) Graduate the main language to be Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or English. Faculty can approve other main language, which then consumed in the partnership agreement. The task should contain a summary (abstract) on the main language and in English.

(2) the official cover page template to NMBUs be used and it should be apparent that the task is performed as a graduate task by NMBU with the application of degree, the College's logo and name NMBUs.

(3) the task should be filed in three printed hardcover copies to students ' Information square (SiT). In addition, delivered an identical electronic version (pdf format) via NMBUs open institutional archives.

section 46-10. Oral discussion of graduate job

(1) Master thesis should have a public laying out and discussed at the oral exam. The exam can also contain a special curriculum. A bachelor's task can have a public laying out or a final oral discussion as part of the assessment.

(2) the faculty the student is affiliated to disclose the date and place of NMBU for oral discussion of graduate job. Study Director may make exceptions from the location requirement when needed. By confidential tasks to date and place of the oral discussion not be made public.

(3) Oral discussion to be conducted by the end of the normal rating the deadline for the written work.

(4) normally to external and internal sensor should be present during the presentation of the task. In exceptional cases can video conferencing equipment or similar is used where this is necessary for the implementation of the presentation. The student's supervisors should preferably also be present.

(5) the oral examination preceded by a master presentation of the task by about 20 to 30 minutes ' duration, where the student provides an overview of the task. After the presentation follows an oral discussion with the sensors.

(6) students who write the master thesis together should normally meet together in common oral discussion of the task. In exceptional cases can the Faculty after the reasoned application from the students allow separate discussions of the task.

(7) the discussion will give the student a more complete feedback about graduate job than the character, as well as providing a background for the sensor extended karakterfast setting. The sensor provides a general assessment of the positive and negative aspects of graduate job. The examiner asks the student specific questions to parts of graduate job to be able to map out the student's judgment, understanding, performance and independence. Supervisor (s) have the opportunity to come here with supplementary comments. The discussion is part of the assessment basis for graduate job.

(8) there are no separate character for the oral master exam. The discussion can be justerende on the final grade on the task. The final grade will be made known to the student and be entered on the transcript. The final grade for the cooperative students can be set equal to or individually, depending on the students ' achievements.

(9) students who do not meet the oral discussion of the thesis, and that does not have an extension or documents the currently accepted due reason, to get signed "not met" for the task. In such cases, the student will lose the right of study. If the student chooses to apply for new recordings, and is taken up, completely new task be worked out within a new theme.

(10) If a master thesis is judged to F (Rapids), to the sensors in consultation with the student (s), consider the basis and the appropriateness of that it carried a verbal discussion.

section 46-11. Evaluation criteria (1) the student's completion of the graduate thesis, degree of independence, understanding and maturity is of particular importance.

(2) the Degree of bachelor-level task should show understanding, independence and be a professional specialization within subject area gradens. Responsible faculty determines whether a bachelor's task to be included as a mandatory part of the program.

(3) master's level Graduate task should show understanding, reflection, maturity and analytical ability. The task should be a tutorial to be able to identify problems within a subject area in the study and analyze and process these in a scientific way, as well as to be able to produce a written scientific paper on this.

section 46-12. Special curriculum as a part of the graduate exam can it at the same time with the oral discussion of the thesis held oral trial in a theoretical special curriculum on the 5, 10 or 15 credits in accordance with the rules of this regulation Chapter 23.

section 46-14. Publishing (1) thesis be published electronically in open file after NMBUs institutional that it is judged with the pass mark (A-E). Before publication, or other disclosure of the master thesis/parts of this, should the student be notified and credited in publication. Other copying and distribution than via open file NMBUs institutional to be approved by both parties.

(2) the student has rights to the degree consistent with the task in the Copyright Act. The University shall have the right to publish graduate task via the open archive NMBUs institutional, when the student's name appears. The University shall also have the right to make use of the task as part of graduate teaching, unless it is agreed that the task should be confidential. The student may require to get its name lit when the University using the task.

section 46-15. Graduate-study task veterinary Veterinary study has a research line with a graduate task on 90 credits and a training part of 30 credits. Closer to the rules for the implementation of the Research Board of professional nedsettes leader for veterinary and animal usually studies.

Chapter 47. Transcript and diploma section 47-1.
(1) a student can get the transcript of all passed exams at NMBU. Diploma and Diploma Supplement (DS) is written out when the current level is achieved.

(2) the transcript may be issued on the bokmål, nynorsk or English.

(3) the diploma is printed on the bokmål or nynorsk, unless the study in its entirety is English-language, and it is issued only once. Together with the diploma, a transcript medfølge. The transcript will show topics the student has taken, but not included in the achieved degree.

(4) in special cases, after a written reasoned application print a new diploma. The printed page will in such cases get the endorsement "duplicate" and both the date for today's date and achieved should be stated. New diplomas are issued not by desire for the change of the educational plan or by improvement of character on the topics that are included in the degree.

(5) Issue of diplomas/ceremony can be delayed until the appeal time limits have expired.


(6) at the campus Hill issued diplomas is held back by the desire to take up again the exam (s). The candidate must give notice of this to the tutor. The diploma for achieved degree cannot be held back more than one year beyond the prescribed time for study.

(7) the Diploma Supplement (DS) is an international vitnemåls addition that is to follow the diploma. It does not replace the diploma, but supplements this. DS will be sent out together with the diploma.

(8) Diplomas will be levied in the University its name. Diplomas will be signed by the principal and Director of studies Degrees Chapter 48. The granting of degrees section 48-1. NMBU-students who have completed and passed a bachelor's degree program is awarded the degree of bachelor. NMBU-students who have completed and passed a master degree program are awarded the degree of master.
NMBU-students who have completed and passed the veterinary study is awarded the rank of URcand.med.vet.
NMBU-students who have completed a two-year study in animal care are awarded the degree College candidate § 48-2. Additional terms for degrees a) Bachelor's degree For achieved bachelor's degree be specified content on the gradens professional diploma as:-Bachelor in the direction.

-For candidates with 3-year bachelor's degree in plant science + 2-year master's in plant science: Master's in plant science (Sivilagronom). *-For candidates with 3-year-old bachelor of livestock science or other relevant bachelor's degree + 2 year master in animal science: Master in animal science (Sivilagronom). *-For candidates with 3-year-old bachelor in skogfag + 2-year master's in skogfag: Master of the skogfag (Msc). * Master's degree of 300 study point range:-For the master programs in technology : Master in technology (civil engineer)-"name of program of study".

-For the master program in science teacher education (NAP): Master of Science (Lektor), [specialization with the subject group (s)].

section 48-3. Requirements to the content through the ranks (1) Bachelor's degree: a) the degree bachelor degree includes passing the exam in a total of at least 180 credits. Of the 180 study points to 10 credits be linked to a common introductory topic (ex. phil.), and it should enter into a specialization of at least 80 credits that will be disclosed in the education plan. At least 15 credits should be related to one or more independent works.

b) in addition to these requirements can NMBU-SU at the suggestion of the faculties make decisions about the required credits at different levels within the subject areas, and other special rules to be awarded bachelor's degree within a program of study.

(2) Master's degree: a) the overall requirements to a master's degree appears of the regulation 1. December 2005 Nr. 1392 on the requirements to the master's degree.

b) which professional builds on the master's degree requirements and requirements to the subjects or subject groups, dental and independent work is described in the study plan. Chapter 7. Faculties can approve other documented qualifications are equal.

c) in a master's degree of 300 study point range to 10 credits be linked to a common introductory topic (ex. phil.). For experience-based master's degree of 90 or 120 study points range, it shall be determined in the study plan for the individual program of study as appropriate vocational experience and any claim for longer than two years professional practice.

d) study the plans, the determination of the ranking rules for qualified applicants and the determination of a particular minimum requirements set out in Chapter 7. The faculties proposes for the NMBU-SU and the extent to which the evaluation the independent work is to have for the individual program of study or the individual study direction. The same is true about the independent work to be carried out individually or by several students.

section 48-4. Relation to the NMBU requirements for connection etc to be issued diplomas from NMBU: (1) to be issued diplomas have to exam in the subjects corresponding to at least 60 credits be made by NMBU.

(2) the topics of up to 30 study points range, made by foreign university or College as part of an exchange deal with NMBU, may be included in the above 60 study points requirements. Similarly, also could be current within the appropriate subject field in which the NMBU has signed a mutual cooperation agreement with another University or University College in Norway.

(3) the candidate must state whether any diplomas issued from other University or college.

(4) Bachelor's degree: at least 60 of the academic credits that will be included in the basis of bachelor's degree should not be a part of the previously achieved degree or vocational education. The new topics must along with the previous topics, or in addition to these, imply that new degree gets another academic center of gravity than the previous level. That is to say, with a specialization of at least 80 study point scope within another subject area than the former gradens professional Center of gravity. 
Note: this does not apply to college graduates in animal care that can apply admission under section 7-3.

(5) the Master's degree: Master the task needs to be included in the requirement of 60 credits.
At least 60 of the academic credits that will be included in the basis for the master's degree should not be a part of the previously achieved degree or vocational education.
By two degrees, if any, there will be requirements that a new master thesis will be part of the 60 new credits required in addition to the previously achieved degree.

Entry into force Chapter 49. Final provisions § 49-1. Entry into force the regulation on study by Norway's environmental and Biosciences University (NMBU) will take effect 1. February 2017. From the same date of revocation regulations 7. may 2015 Nr. 584 for admission, studies, examination and degrees at the Norwegian environmental and Biosciences University (NMBU) with complementary provisions.
