Decision:
To the drivers of motor vehicles, which are normally based in:
a. Belgium;
b. the Federal Republic of Germany;
c. Cyprus;
d. Denmark, including the Faroe Islands;
e. Estonia;
f. Finland;
g. France and Monaco;
h. Greece;
i. Hungary;
j. Ireland;
k. Italy, San Marino and the Vatican City State;
(l) Croatia;
m. Latvia;
n. Lithuania;
o. Luxembourg;
p. Malta;
q. Norway;
r. Austria;
Poland;
t. Portugal;
You. Slovenia;
(v) the Slovak Republic;
Spain;
x. the Czech Republic;
y. the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar;
z. Iceland;
aa. Sweden;
Bb. Switzerland and Liechtenstein;
Subject to Article 2 , exempted from the obligation to have proof of insurance.
The Article 1 the exemption provided for does not apply to motor vehicles which are normally based in one of the following categories: Article 1 the said countries and in respect of which:
(a) in that country, in accordance with Article 4 (b) of the Council Directive of 24 April 1972 (Pb). C) 2 May 1972 L 103), as amended by Council Directive of 19 December 1972 (Pb. E.G. 1291 of 28 December 1972, rectification in Pb. OJ L 75 of 23 March 1973) from the provisions of Article 3 of that Directive; or
(b) The condition laid down in Article 7 (2) of the abovementioned Directive is not met.
The Arrangement of 8 August 1986, No A 24878, Central Road Traffic Law Division, on proof of insurance non-registration of motor vehicles (Stcrt. 157), is hereby repealed.
This arrangement shall enter into force on 1 July 1988.
This arrangement will be placed in the Dutch Official Gazette.
The scheme is cited as:
Scheme of proof of insurance non-registration of motor vehicles.
