All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:

In this regard, we have taken into consideration the need to introduce legislation relating to the granting of compensation to bodies treated as public and to be treated with a body governed by public law in respect of such claims. as a result of the storm surge due to take place on 31 January/1 February 1953;

In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:

For the purposes of this Act, 'Windstorm' shall mean any damage caused to goods in the Netherlands as a result of flooding resulting from the storm effect on 31 January/1 February 1953, on the understanding that the damage caused to the damage caused by flooding has been caused by the flooding of the not including damage, which reveals itself after a time set by us for an area.   • a. Where the act is referred to in that law of war damage is read as a result of storm-flood damage;

  • b. Article 1 (1) a, and Articles 11 to 13, 16 and 17 of the animal law shall not apply;

  • Article 14 of the animal law reads as follows: 'Claims arising from the war and occupation' are replaced by the words ' Claims arising from the storm surge which occurred on 31 January/1 February 1953.

This law, which can be cited under the title "Law Financing Stormflood Damage Public Bodies", enters into force with effect from the day following that harer's termination.
