BE IT enacted by the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong with the advice and consent of the Dewan Negara and Dewan Rakyat in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Act offences abroad 1976.
Effects outside the State for the offence committed outside Malaysia 2. (1) (a) any acts contrary to the provisions of any written law stated in the schedule, which provisions relating to creating, and punishment for, the offence; or (b) any offence under any other written law that perlakuannya certified by the Attorney General as touching 6 Federal safety laws of Malaysia ACT 163 may, if the Act or offence, as the case may be, done — (i) in the sea in any ship or in any air ships registered in Malaysia;
(ii) by a citizen or a permanent resident at the sea in any ship or in any of the air vessels;
(iii) by a citizen or a permanent resident in any place outside Malaysia, punishable as an offence under law related seem to act or it was committed in Malaysia.
(2) for the purposes of this Act, "permanent resident" has the meaning given by the courts of Judicature Act 1964 [Act 91].
(3) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by order amend or add to the table.
