BE IT enacted by the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong with the advice and consent of the Dewan Negara and Dewan Rakyat in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Pensions Act Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj 1971.
237 2 Act. Notwithstanding any other provisions of the Act, Member of Parliament (remuneration) 1980 [Act 237], or any other laws in respect of pension and remuneration for members of the Administration, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, when he retired from the post of Prime Minister, be entitled to pensions and privileges the following: (a) remuneration of RM200, 000 tax exempt;
(b) the pension of four thousand dollars shall be paid on a monthly basis on one day each month;
(c) a dwelling house furnished shall be held and maintained free of charge;
(d) a Government with a motorcar driver shall be held; and 022b.fm Page 5 Monday, March 27, 2006 5:06 PM 6 laws of Malaysia ACT 22 (e) a Secretary, a clerk cum stenographers, one security officer and an Office boy shall also be held according to the current rates of the Government.
Pension and privileges under this Act is in addition to any allowances or privileges, if any 3. Pension and privileges set out in section 2 are in addition to any other privileges or allowance payable to him under any law relating to the remuneration of Members of Parliament or Assembly of any State.
Payment from consolidated fund 4. Any expenses incurred under section 2 shall be paid from the consolidated fund.
Repeal 5. Ordinance No. 50 (powers necessary) Emergency 1970 is hereby repealed.
