No 69 37) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 2 June 2008 No. 400 provisions "veterinary requirements for aquaculture animals and products derived therefrom, as well as the movement of aquaculture animals of infectious disease prevention and eradication" Issued in accordance with article 25 of the law on veterinary medicine 1 and paragraph 10 do cabinet 2 June 2008 No. 400 "provisions of the veterinary requirements of the aquaculture animals, their products and their movement aquaculture, as well as infectious animal disease prevention and eradication "(Latvian journal, 2008, 88 no) the following amendments: 1. provisions supplementing with 2.36 2.37 2.38, and subparagraph by the following:"-2.36. the quarantine facility enclosed spaces, the complex or the area provide the quarantine of aquaculture animals. Quarantine of one or more of the quarantine unit, and it is registered with the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004, Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules (hereinafter referred to as Regulation (EC) No 882/2004), article 2, paragraph 4, according to the meaning of this provision 8.1 and 8.2 the requirements referred to in paragraph 1;
2.37. quarantine unit-activities and space designated quarantine station part of the consignments of aquaculture animals, with the same health and aquaculture Sentinel animals, if necessary;
2.38. Sentinel animals in aquaculture-aquaculture animals used in aquaculture animal diseases diagnosis during quarantine. "
2. To make the first sentence of paragraph 5 the following: "the rules of the supervision and control of service carried out in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 article 3."
3. Supplement with bottom point 8.4 as follows: "8.4. the quarantine facility."
4. Supplement with 8.1 and 8.2 points as follows: "8.1 to register, quarantine service: 8.1 1. economic operator issued requirements for the quarantine station;
8.1 2. inspection for this rule XIV1 specified in chapter requirements and three working days written notice to the owner of the quarantine station of the decision taken.
8.2 If the quarantine testing finds: 1. non-compliance with these 8 rules for the requirements contained in chapter XIV1, officers did not record the quarantine period and shall fix a time limit for the prevention of abuse. That date officers shall coordinate with the quarantine station owner;
8.2. conformity with this provision 2 XIV1 requirements in chapter officers shall record the quarantine station and quarantine station shall be issued, at the request of the holder of a certificate of registration. "

129.18 sampling, testing, laboratory investigations and diagnosis is carried out by an official veterinarian pursuant to the instructions of the service.
In addition to this provision 129.19 14, 15, 16 and 17 for the accounts referred to in paragraph 1 recorded in quarantine: 129.19 1. time when employees enter and exit from it;

 XIV2. Requirements for aquaculture animals imported into the quarantined before it is placed on the European Community waters If Latvia imported 129.20 (aquaculture animals from third countries) the aquaculture animals for quarantine, the importer or his representative shall submit to the Department a written assurance that the designated quarantine station for imported aquaculture animals placed in quarantine and will be adopted in accordance with the requirements of this Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the Declaration). 129.23 aquaculture animals imported from the border inspection post is transferred directly to the quarantine station. If such transportation uses transport means at the border inspection post Service Officer vehicles with seals, sealing the safe against forgery.
129.24 on imported aquaculture animals which need to be placed in quarantine:

1. border inspection post 129.24 officers using computerized information reporting system (traces) that set regulations for veterinary control procedures to be followed for the importation of the animals in Latvia from third countries, and implementing the Commission of 30 March 2004, Regulation (EC) no 599/2004 concerning the adoption of a harmonised model certificate and inspection report linked to intra-Community trade in animals and products of animal origin, one working days to inform the officers of the which is located under the supervision of a quarantine facility, indicating the date of consignment of aquaculture animals at the border inspection post is received, the place of origin and destination;
2. the quarantine facility 129.24 owner or his authorized person within one working day of receipt of the consignment of aquaculture animals in quarantine facility shall inform the officers that the supervision of quarantine station is located on the mailing receipt (also, where the consignment has been received within the prescribed time);
3. officers of 129.24, which is located under the supervision of a quarantine station, three working days (from the date of shipment of aquaculture animals imported in quarantine area) using the traces system, inform the officers of the border inspection post of arrival of the consignment (also, where the consignment has been received within the prescribed time).
If the crossing point 129.25 desk officer receives information that the aquaculture animals declared as to send to quarantine, no destination within three working days after the date of arrival specified, it shall inform the customs services and the authority of that fact. Service in cooperation with the Customs authorities to take measures to ensure cargo and placing in quarantine.
129.26 To aquaculture animals placed on the market in accordance with the provisions of article 33, 34 or 39 or. aquaculture animals imported in accordance with the Commission on 12 December 2008, Regulation (EC) No 1251/2008 implementing Council Directive 2006/88/EC as regards the conditions and certification requirements for aquaculture animals and products thereof on the market and importation into the community and referred to in the list (hereinafter referred to as Regulation (EC) No 1251/2008) Chapter IV, the aquaculture animals must meet the following requirements: 1. all quarantine 129.26 time provides one quarantine;
2. to 129.26 aquaculture animals of species susceptible to the diseases in aquaculture animals, subject to these rules, 129.32, 129.33 129.30, 129.34 129.35, 129.36 129.37 points, and of such requirements;
129.26 3. aquaculture animals species that are infectious diseases of aquaculture animals, vector, subject to these rules, and to 129.32 129.33 129.31 points of such requirements;
4. at 129.26 end of quarantine officers to each consignment of aquaculture animals shall be completed and issued legislation that specifies information about the quarantine, the quarantine time, aquaculture species, number of animals, the destination of the consignment, as well as proof that the aquaculture animals are clinically healthy and have not found the provisions referred to in annex 1 of aquaculture animal infectious diseases.
129.27 If during quarantine suspected disease of aquaculture animals, by any of the rules referred to in annex 1 of aquaculture animal infectious diseases, officers: 1. take samples and 129.27 investigates the aquaculture animal infectious disease reference laboratory to confirm or reject the existence of infectious disease;
2. to 129.27 diagnosis for approval or rejection shall prohibit the introduction into the quarantine station and from there exported aquaculture animals.
If during quarantine 129.28 will confirm any of this rules referred to in annex 1 of aquaculture animal infectious diseases, officers controls the following requirements are met: 1. all quarantine unit 129.28 existing aquaculture animals shall be removed and disposed of under the relevant infectious diseases spread, except when aquaculture animals and products thereof placed on the market if the quarantine Unit found in the aquaculture animal infectious disease does not jeopardise the health status of aquatic animals in the territory or country of destination;
129.28 2. infectious diseases quarantine affected units are cleaned and disinfected;
129.28 3.  15 days after the quarantine unit cleaning and disinfection is complete it is prohibited to insert aquaculture animals;
129.28 4. infectious diseases quarantine units affected water treated and disinfected to destroy identified aquaculture animal infectious disease agent.
129.29 service shall inform the European Commission of measures implemented in accordance with this provision and paragraph 129.28 129.27
129.30 animal species susceptible to infectious diseases of aquaculture animals, ensure that the quarantine time: 1. fish-129.30 not less than 60 days;
129.30 2. crustaceans – not less than 40 days;
129.30 3. molluscs: not less than 90 days.

Sentinel animals are admitted to 129.35 aquaculture use analysis, sampling and diagnosis, except where there is a quarantine of aquaculture animals of species susceptible to the agent marteiliosis Marteilia refringens.
during quarantine service 129.36 determines the number of Sentinel animals in aquaculture, taking into account the quarantined by the number of aquaculture animals quarantine unit size, species characteristics and aquaculture of the infectious animal disease.
service control to 129.37 quarantined aquaculture control animals shall comply with the following requirements: 1. Sentinel animals are such 129.37 specimens are susceptible to these rules referred to in annex 1 of aquaculture animals, infectious diseases and, considering the circumstances, it is holding at the stage of development when the susceptibility to these diseases is highest;
2. the Member State of origin 129.37, zone, compartment or in a third country or a part thereof is declared in the aquaculture animal infectious disease;
129.37 3. have not been vaccinated against the diseases of aquaculture animals;
4. has been placed in quarantine 129.37 unit just before the quarantine of aquaculture animals in the receipt or its time and held together with aquaculture animals and imported in the same breeding and environmental conditions.
129.38 dead or sick animals investigates aquaculture service veterinarian.
129.39 If in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1251/2008, chapter IV quarantine is the condition of the consignment of aquaculture animals for import of such consignments are imported, if the third country has complied with the requirements of legislation for the equivalent of aquaculture animal quarantine requirements.
