Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 954 in 2010 12th October (pr. No 52 § 4) the order in which professional service soldier compensated for training expenses and the expenses of the order issued in accordance with State and local officials and employees of the institutions of the law on remuneration article 26, second part 1. determines: 1.1. procedures for the professional service soldier (soldier) compensate training expenses up to 30 per cent of the annual school fees if a soldier without interrupting service duties, successfully taught in an approved institution of higher education or foreign educational establishment issued diplomas are recognised in Latvia (hereinafter educational institution);

8. 8.2. the education authorities issued a certificate testifying that a soldier has successfully passed the appropriate semester tests and does not have academic debt soldiers, except those that are due to differences in the learning plan, and accepted a specified semester culminating in the sort term;
8.3. payment of tuition fees a copy of identity document;
8.4. the education authority for the school year fees for the current year.
9. on the basis of the national armed forces Commander's order, the national armed forces a month after issuing orders to refund of tuition fees shall be paid into an account specified by a soldier with a credit institution.
10. without success (except this rule 14.1. cases referred to), after the elections, the educational authority of internal rules or rules of admission from educational institutions deducted a soldier in full repayment of the national armed forces offset the tuition fees.
11. The soldier who retired from active service due to the professional service of termination before term (except this rule 14.2 and 14.3. in the cases referred to in paragraph) released national armed forces offset the tuition: 100% 11.1 if school fees are receiving compensation by nodienēj less than a year;
11.2. by 50% if school fees are nodienēj by receiving compensation from one year to two years;
11.3.20% if school fees nodienēj compensation more than two but less than three years.
12. National armed forces Commander, taking into account the offset in the amount calculated in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 10 and 11, issued an order, which determines the offset of the tuition due date. Offset tuition repayment term shall not exceed two years. Soldier compensated tuition fees reimbursed in one or more instalments.
13. If a soldier does not reimburse fees compensated this rule in accordance with the procedure laid down in point 12, the national armed forces offset the outstanding tuition fees recover in court.
14. The soldier compensated tuition fees shall not be refunded in such cases: 14.1. If a soldier report of educational failure, and failure is due to health or other reasons, which the Defense Minister for supporting;
14.2. If the soldiers retired from active military service due to the professional service, the termination of the contract before the deadline: 14.2.1. the military service act article 43 second paragraph, 2 and 7 in the cases referred to in point;
14.2.2. from the will of the independent soldiers and unavoidable circumstances, which the Defense Minister for supporting;
