The Republic of Latvia Cabinet of Ministers of 6 July 1999 the regulations No. 248 (in Riga. No. 34, § 12.) the pharmacist professional qualifications certification issued in accordance with rule 5 of Pharmacy and article 57 of the i. General questions 1. these provisions define the pharmacist professional qualification certification procedure.
2. Certification is made according to Profession classifier specified classification, as well as to assess the knowledge and skills of pharmacists in a certain profession.
3. the pharmacist professional qualification certificate confirms the conformity of the pharmacist to the minimum requirements for professional qualifications and are issued for a period of one to three years, subject to the overall duration of practice pharmacist profession.
II. Certification and re-certified 4. 6. certification body: 6.1. elaborate Welfare Ministry harmonised certification exam program;
6.2. the certified pharmacists informed about certification requirements, certification exam programs, evaluation and certification exam Commission personnel;

6.9. issued against the signature or sent to the person concerned for the reasoned decision of refusal to grant a certificate or reassign the certificate, as well as the cancellation of the certificate no later than ten days after the decision is taken.
7. the certification body for certification of the pharmacist personally must submit the following documents: 7.1 the certified pharmacist repeatedly filled in and personally signed application;
7.2. a copy of document certifying the professional activities (presentation of the original — the work or employment contract notebook);
7.3. a receipt stating that the payment for this rule set out in paragraph 16 of paid services;
7.4. the certificate of compliance of the State of health to the work to be carried out;
7.5. two photographs (3, 5x4, 5 cm);
7.6. postgraduate training certificate, copies of the document (the presentation of the originals).
8. A pharmacist re-certification without certification exam Certification Commission of sort of certified pharmacist, copies of the documents certifying the previous certificate expires during the pharmaceutical activity and post-graduate training.
9. If the Certification Commission accepts these rules referred to in point 8 Professional and post-graduate training certificates again, the pharmacist receives the certified certificate repeatedly without certification exam sort.
10. If the Certification Commission does not accept these rules referred to in point 8 Professional and post-graduate training certificates and certification is denied, the certified pharmacist again sorts the certification exam and obtain a certificate in accordance with the procedure laid down in these provisions.
11. If the applicant for the certificate does not appear before the Commission of certification, the certification body shall invite the certified pharmacist, to the next sitting.
12. If the applicant for the certificate does not appear before the Commission hearing repeated certification, certification is denied to him and sent a written refusal.

III. the Certified pharmacist rights and obligations 18. the pharmacist is entitled to be certified: 18.1. receive certification exam program, as well as information on the exam;
18.2. organize certification exam within four months from the date of the application;
18.3. to receive information on the certification exam space and time not later than two months before the exam;
18.4 in the event of refusal of certification by the annual re organize certification exam;

18.6. familiarize yourself with the certification exam and the personnel of the Commission to submit to the Chairman of the Commission for certification of claims against individual reasoned examination of the nomination of the members of the Commission;
18.7. to submit claims for the certification authorities in the certification exam or the progress of the evaluation, as well as the petition for the decision to revoke the certificate.
19. A certified pharmacist in the performance of their work duties, worn on the body in a certificate, PIN.
20. The pharmacist, whose certificate is revoked, within three working days after receipt of the written notification of the certification body shall transfer a certificate revocation and certificate-brooch.

23.3. the society of Pharmacists.
24. The decision on the cancellation of the certificate of the certification authority shall notify in writing to: 24.1. pharmacist, whose certificate is revoked;
24.2. the national pharmaceutical inspection;
24.3. The Welfare Ministry.
25. the rules shall enter into force by 1 October 1999.
