Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 383 in Riga 2004 (April 22. Nr. 24) 17 amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 30 May 2000, the Regulation No 186 "rules for the machines ' Issued in accordance with the law" on conformity assessment "article 7 1. make Cabinet 30 May 2000 by Regulation No 186" rules on machines "(Latvian journal, 2000, 201./204.nr.; 2002, 111 no; 2003, 114 no) the following amendments: 1. replace the text, the words" authorized institution "(fold) with the words" notified body "(fold);

1.4. make 7. the introductory paragraph by the following: "7. 1.5. to replace paragraph 7.7, the words "authorized" by the words "entitled";
1.6. to supplement the rules with 15.1, 15.2 and 15.3 points as follows: "15.1 If market surveillance authorities to make sure that the machines that are marked with the CE marking, or security components that have a declaration of conformity and they are used according to intended purpose does not comply with the requirements of this regulation, market surveillance authorities have the right to take appropriate measures to withdraw such machinery or safety components from the market and to prohibit the placing on the market.
15.2 the market surveillance authorities shall take the following measures: 15.21. If in doubt about the conformity of the machinery with the essential requirements or the requirements of the applicable standard for standard use, correctness or adequacy of standards, a random check of the machine and organised according to accredited bodies the results of the inspection, prepare an opinion on the conformity of the machinery with the essential requirements;
15.22. reported to the Ministry of Economy for non-compliant machine detection and measures taken by the Administration, if found appropriate, which may be considered systematically observed error of machine construction (construction or manufacturing).
