Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 347 in the 2004 Riga 20 April (pr. No 23 42) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 2 May 2000 by Regulation No 165 "provisions of the pressure equipment directive and their complexes" Issued in accordance with the law "on conformity assessment" article 7 1. make Cabinet 2 May 2000 the Regulation No 165 "provisions in the pressure equipment directive and their complexes" (Latvian journal, 2000, 151./153.nr.; 2003, nr. 139) the following amendments: 1. to delete the provision in the text the words "non-profit organization" (fold);
1.2. to replace the text, the words "authorized institution" (fold) with the words "notified body" (fold);
1.3. make paragraph 6 by the following: "6. The Ministry of economy in cooperation with the relevant technical standards Committee recommends limited liability company" Latvian standards "Adaptive standards of the European Union.";
1.4. the introductory part of paragraph 9 expressed the following: "9. the accredited and the newspaper" Latvian journal "published in the conformity assessment bodies (notified body) according to these rules and the requirements of applicable standards assess:";
1.5. make 10 introductory paragraph as follows: "10. The notified body shall be entitled to assess pressure equipment and the assemblies, as well as the compliance of the materials and the welder or issue the pressure equipment used in the manufacture of European material approval if it provides the following minimum requirements:";
1.6. to replace the words "in paragraph 10.6. power" with the word "entitled";
1.7. to complement the chapter 8, 249.2, 249.3, with 249.4 249.1, 249.5 points and follows: 249.1 "If consumer protection Center or the national labour inspectorate finds that the pressure equipment or assemblies, which are marked with the CE marking and used in accordance with the manufacturer's specified purpose of use, poses a risk to human health or life, pets or property, it shall immediately prohibit such pressure equipment or assemblies the placing on the market of the future use and transfer, as well as to take the necessary measures to restrict their free movement, and inform the Ministry of the economy.
249.2 of the Ministry of economy after the receipt of the information of the consumer rights protection centre or the national labour inspection according to this provision the requirements set out in paragraph 249.1 shall notify the European Commission of the measures taken, especially if these are not fulfilled: 249.21. provisions laid down in Chapter 3 of the essential safety requirements;

If the European Commission after 249.3 economic Ministry statement finds that the consumer rights protection centre or the national labour inspection measures were not justified, it shall inform the Ministry of the economy.
