Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 387 of 2004 in Riga on April 22 (Mon. No 24 21) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 30 April 2002, the Regulation No 171 "conformity assessment of radio equipment" Issued in accordance with the law "on conformity assessment" 7. the second paragraph of article 1 do cabinet 30 April 2002 of Regulation No 171 "conformity assessment of radio regulations" (Latvian journal, 2002, no. 67) the following amendments: 1. replace the words "in the text of the provisions authorized or notified body" (fold) with the words "notified body" (fold) ";

1.3. make point 7 by the following: "7. Radio equipment compliance with the regulated sphere assessed by accredited certification and inspection bodies for which accreditation published notices in the newspaper" Gazette "(hereinafter referred to as the notified body).";
1.4. to complement the chapter III with 15.1 points as follows: "15.1 radio equipment manufactured in the Member States of the European Union, as well as equipment produced in other countries and intended to distribute in the Member States of the European Union in accordance with the European Union, the existing conformity assessment procedures and comply with the requirements of specific national standards, you can freely distribute the Latvian market, certifying compliance with the manufacturer, his authorized representative or the importer of the national declaration of conformity. ';
1.5. to supplement the rules with 33.1 33.2 points and by the following: "to ensure the essential 33.1 compliant radio coming to the market, the market surveillance authority may restrict or prohibit the CE mark marked for its intended purpose of placing radio equipment used on the market if they pose a threat to human health and life or other public values. The market surveillance authorities shall take the following measures: 33.11. If in doubt about the radio equipment conformity with the essential requirements or the requirements of the applicable standard, the standard use of the correctness or adequacy standards, organized the selection of radio equipment inspection and draw up an opinion on the conformity of radio equipment with the essential requirements. The opinion shall be accompanied by the results of the inspection;
33.12. the Ministry of Economic Affairs reported on the examination of the appropriate radio equipment not identified and measures taken by the Administration, if found appropriate, which may be considered systematically observed error of radio equipment design or construction. Accompanied this provision 33.11. the documents referred to in point and the consequences of non-compliance evaluation.
33.2 the Ministry of economy reported the findings of the European Commission of the non-compliance and the measures taken. ";
1.6. to supplement the rules with the informative reference to European Union directives as follows: "Informative reference to European Union directive rules included provisions deriving from Council of 9 March 1999, Directive 1999/5/EC on radio equipment and telecommunications raidītājiekārt and the mutual recognition of their conformity".
2. the rules shall enter into force on 1 May 2004.
