Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 736 Riga 2004 (august 24. Nr. 50) of electrical and electronic equipment labeling and information disclosure requirements Issued under the waste management act 20.7 the second paragraph of article 1 and paragraph 4 lays down the rules: 1 1.1. electrical and electronic equipment labeling requirements to encourage the separate collection of waste;
1.2. information requirements in the consumer electrical and electronic equipment waste treatment and reuse requirements, requirements for recycling and recovery plant operators, as well as the public and the European Commission's information requirements. 2. These provisions apply to the Cabinet of Ministers of 27 July 2004 No. 624 of the regulations ' provisions on waste electrical and electronic equipment categories "those electrical and electronic equipment. 3. Electrical and electronic equipment producers and distributors on its website on the internet, point of sale and household electrical and electronic equipment instructions for consumers indicate information such as: regulations in annex 3.1 symbol meaning – put the waste electrical and electronic equipment separately from other waste;
3.2. waste electrical and electronic equipment transfer capabilities;
3.3. the necessary steps to facilitate the electronic waste recycling, recovery and reuse;
3.4. electrical and electronic equipment, hazardous substances in potential impacts on the environment, human life and health. 4. in addition to other laws and the labelling requirements applicable to electrical and electronic equipment, manufacturers equipment label says: the provisions in annex 4.1 symbol;
4.2. date of production. 5. Markings on electrical or electronic equipment in. Marking shall be easily legible and indelible. If electrical or electronic equipment size or function, it is not possible, the marking label placed on electrical or electronic equipment packaging, warranty card and instructions. 6. During the year after a new type of electrical or electronic equipment on the market, the manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment waste treatment, reuse, recycling and recovery plant operators sent electronically or in writing the following information: 6.1. electrical or electronic equipment in existing materials, substances and ingredients;
6.2. hazardous chemicals and product placement. 7. Ministry of the environment or its authorized institution shall send a report to the European Commission (subject to the European Commission in the form of the report) on waste electrical and electronic equipment management in the period of two years. Message will be given 18 months after the end of the period covered, and the information it contains is freely available to the public. The first report is provided for the period from 2005 to 2006. 8. the Ministry of the environment or its authorized institution shall, on request, inform the other Member States of the European Union on Latvia from European Union Member States imported electrical and electronic equipment, waste treatment, recycling and recovery. 9. The provisions of paragraph 4 and 5 apply to equipment placed on the market after 13 august 2005.
