Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 737 in 2004 (august 24. No 50 31) National Agency "natural museum" of Latvia Regulations Issued under the public law agency 8. the third paragraph of article i. General questions 1. Public Agency "Latvian nature museum" (hereinafter referred to as the Museum) is under the supervision of the Ministry of the environment existing State authority. 2. the objective of the Museum is to accumulate the Latvian natural and cultural values, which shows its diversity, history and protection, and to build a society picture of Latvian nature as part of the national wealth and natural diversity of the world. II. The museum functions, tasks and rights 3. The Museum has the following functions: 3.1. maintain and develop the Museum's National Museum inventory as part of the item;
3.2. carry out scientific activities science and muzeoloģij;
3.3. carry out environmental education work;
3.4. to inform the public of the Latvian and World Wildlife Diversity, promote sustainable development of society and considerate attitude towards nature. 4. to ensure that functions as a Museum: 4.1 maintain existing collections and dabaszinātnisk articles and continue to make, the Museum's inventory and scientific research;
4.2. create constant exposure;
4.3. organizes and produces exhibitions on science topics;

4.6. collect, compile and analyse statistical data on Museum visitors and measures;
4.7. the dabaszinātnisk of students organise group lessons;
4.8. organizes lectures, excursions, Museum and nature, as well as organized training expeditions in Latvia and abroad;
4.9. formulate and implement educational pedagogical programs and measures;
4.10. issue guides, catalogues and other information material about Latvian nature, Museum, Museum of the history of items and the Museum's scientific and educational activities;
4.11. provide advice in the field of science and muzeoloģij;
4.12. in the inspection of natural objects;
4.13. providing photography, filming and taxidermy services. 5. The Museum has the following rights: 5.1 to issue ad spending and promote the Museum media coverage;
5.2. the promotion of the Museum to use its emblem;
5.3. the poll and to interview the Museum visitors;
5.4. to require from State and local government institutions, the museum functions require information;
5.5. the charge for regular exposure and exhibition attendance and this provision 4.8, 4.9, 4.10, 4.11, 4.12 and 4.13 referred to public services;
5.6. to receive donations, donations and foreign financial assistance to participate in the tender of projects to attract funding;
5.7. make purchases for the Museum's inventory replenishment. 6. the Museum carry out the functions under management contracts. Museum's financial resources shall consist of: 11.1. national budget allocations from the general revenue;

11.3. donations, gifts and foreign financial assistance. 12. The Museum budget and the law on the financial management in the order with the permission of the Minister of Finance has the right to take loans and commitments. Prior authorization of the Minister of finance that the Museum deals with the conditions of the Environment Ministry. 13. the Museum with its possession passed to the Act public law agency in article 16.
