Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No 842 Riga 2004 5 October (pr. No 58 39) meeting of senior officials on issues of the European Union regulations Issued under the public administration facilities of article 13 of the law i. General questions 1. the meeting of the senior officials of the European Union (hereinafter referred to as the meeting) is the national coordinating body to ensure cooperation between national regulatory authorities in matters related to the participation of the Republic of Latvia in the European Union.
2. the Council has the following tasks: 2.1 to consider proposals on priorities with respect to its participation in the European Union;

2.3. agree on joint solutions for the representatives of the national regulatory authorities in the practical operation of the European institutions;
2.4. to agree on the distribution of tasks under the competence of the national regulatory authority of coordination or other disputes cases between national regulatory authorities on issues related to Latvia's membership of the European Union, including the Latvian national position with regard to European legislation, decision-making and project implementation, on the representation of the European Union institutions, as well as Latvia's position on the Court of Justice of the European communities to the sectors of things;
2.5. to coordinate the national regulatory authorities in carrying out the tasks related to Latvia's membership of the European Union;
2.6. to consider and prepare proposals for the development of draft legislation if national regulatory authorities dispute matters related to law of the European Union;
2.7. to agree on the amount of the document to be translated, which each Ministry can sign up for translation and terminology Centre;
2.8. The Member States of the European Union to approve a small-scale twinning (Twinning Light) project applications.
