No 62 16) National Youth Initiative Centre Regulations Issued pursuant to the public administration Act, article 16 of the equipment the first part i. General question 1. National Youth Initiative Centre (Center) is the Ministry of education and science of the direct regulatory authority. 3.4. establish and implement children and youth national measures of science, kultūrizglītīb (Latvian school youth song and Dance Festival), as well as environmental education, technical innovation and education activities;
3.5. collaborate with educators, educational administration and municipal professionals, as well as advise and inform them on issues of interest to the work of education and upbringing;
3.6. ensuring children and youth camps and training and coordinate the movement of information for children and youth camps;
3.7. ensure interest education educator, parenting expert and work camps and further training of Heads of methodological guidance;
3.8. promote interest in educational and correctional work teachers professional creativity;
3.9. provide cooperation with non-governmental organizations and associations, as well as associations and foundations of education and upbringing in the interests of labour matters;
3.10. implements international cooperation in the interest of education and upbringing work area;
3.11. get involved in international projects. 4. The Centre shall have the following rights: 4.1 to request and receive, free of charge from the State and municipal institutions, as well as the laws and regulations — order — from natural and legal persons of the tasks of the Centre the necessary information and documents;
4.2. study and analyze the interests of education and raising the quality of work in education;
4.3. in accordance with the competency to create expert groups, working groups and advisory councils;
4.4. to participate in the issues that the Ministry of education and science departments and subordinated institutions, other State and municipal institutions, non-governmental organisations and their associations, as well as associations and enterprises related to the Centre's competence issues;
4.5. the public service obligations in the area of education law. III. structure of the Centre and the competence of officials 5. the Centre shall be headed by a Director. The Director of the Centre is the national civil servant. The Director of the Centre shall be appointed and relieved of the post of Minister of education and science. 6. the Director of the Centre shall carry out public administration facilities Act direct authorities managerial functions. 7. the Centre's departments is the Department and independent parts.
