Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 271 in Riga 2 June 2015 (pr. No 27 26. §) rules on the labelling of the meat of bovine animals aged 12 months, Issued under the food surveillance article 13 of the law of the third subparagraph of paragraph 3, rule 1 determine the additional labelling requirements in the European Union, produced or imported from non-member countries meat obtained from bovine animals aged 12 months or less (meat). The European Parliament and of the Council of 17 July 2000 of Regulation (EC) No 1760/2000 establishing a system for the identification and registration of bovine animals and regarding the labelling of beef and beef products and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 820/97 (hereinafter Regulation No 1760/2000), 13, 14 and 15. 2. food and veterinary service, shall be the competent authority, which shall carry out the supervision and control under Regulation No 1308/2013 part I of annex VII paragraph 2 of section VI and Regulation No 566/2008 article 6(1) requirements. 3. the rules apply to all stages of the food chain. 4. Meat labelled on the packaging or labels indicating the information in accordance with Regulation No 1760/2000, 13, 14 and 15 of Regulation No 1308/2013 part I of annex VII, section IV, paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of section III, as well as Regulation No 566/2008 article 4, paragraph 2. 8. If the final consumer at the point of retail sale to the meat offers bulk food distribution at the appropriate place according to the Regulation No 566/2008 article 4(2) the requirements placed in clearly visible, legible and indelible indication in writing with the following information: 8.1. trade name – "veal" or "Veal meat '. In addition, you can specify a particular piece of meat or offal name or designation; 8.2. the slaughter age-appropriate "age on slaughter: up to 8 months of age" or "age on slaughter: from 8 to 12 months". 9.
