Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 76 2005 in Riga on 1 February (pr. Nr. 7 § 10) the rules for Customs officers in the ranks were issued in accordance with the law "on the State revenue service" 25. the second paragraph of article 1. determines the State Revenue Service (SRS) of officials of customs authorities (Customs officers) rank and their procedures for granting and withdrawing.
2. Customs officers ' ranks are as follows: 2.1 the General Customs;
2.2. the Colonel;
2.3. Customs Lieutenant Colonel;
2.4. major;
2.5. Customs captain;
2.6. Customs first;
2.7. the Lieutenant;
2.8. the customs officer's Deputy;
2.9. the Customs virsseržant;
2.10. a customs Sergeant;
2.11. the corporal.
3. the customs officials that post or who are granted the status of civil servants, the following ranks: 3.1.-corporal territorial ENVIRONMENTAL authorities up-to-date customs supervisor;
3.2. a customs Sergeant — the territorial authorities of the Customs ENVIRONMENT monitoring;
3.3. Customs virsseržant: SRS senior customs authorities monitor;
3.4. the customs officer's Deputy, territorial authorities the Customs ENVIRONMENT special this (entire name)/junior customs expert;
3.5. Customs Lieutenant — ENVIRONMENT the main customs administration specialist (entire name)/junior customs expert, ENVIRONMENT kriminālpārvald for customs professionals (entire name)/junior customs expert, SRS authorities customs senior officer (entire name), customs expert;

4. Customs officers rank granted raises, lowers and robbed, subject to the power of the service order, taking into account the ENVIRONMENT created the attestation to the opinion of the Commission, as well as according to the customs officials for the post and for the previous service rank. 5. Customs officers with the rank order is granted, raises, lowers or deprive the Director General ENVIRONMENT.

12.3. the base salary reduction for a period of up to one year, withholding up to 20% of base salary;
12.4. the reduction for a period of up to three years.
13. Period of customs officials for downgrading to the renewal of the service not required for the current grade of service assignment.
14. If the customs official shall terminate civil relationship after the elections, but later civil relations is resumed the post of Customs officers, the customs official is saved in the previously assigned rank. The period between the termination of the staff regulations, the Customs authorities to the Customs authorities the resumption of service, not required for the current rank.
15. Be declared unenforceable for Min three cabinet 8 October 2002 Regulation No 448 "rules on Customs officers ' ranks" (Latvian journal, 2002, no. 147).
16. If the customs official in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 15 of the said rules are assigned a higher rank than provided for in these rules, the above degree granted is saved independently from customs officials.
