Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No 525 Riga, July 19, 2005 (pr. No. 42) the procedure for the recognition of professional qualifications for permanent professional activities in the Republic of Latvia in accordance with the law "About the regulated professions and the recognition of professional qualifications" in article 36, paragraph 8, article 43, first and second subparagraph and article 57, first paragraph, point 1 1. determines the procedure: 1.1., the applicant shall submit any information the institution of recognition of professional qualifications for the issue of certificates of the necessary documents;
1.2. what information in the institution and the institution which issued the certificate of recognition of professional qualifications for regulated professions in the field of activity concerned (hereinafter referred to as the authority which issues the certificate of recognition), consider the applicant's documents submitted for the recognition of professional qualifications for permanent professional activities in the Republic of Latvia to the regulated profession in the application of the General system for the recognition of professional qualifications, the special system for the recognition of professional qualifications or recognition of professional qualifications on the basis of the applicant's professional experience;
1.3. any institution which issues the certificate of recognition, a decision on the applicant's professional qualifications recognition or non-recognition. 2. These provisions shall not apply where the Republic of Latvia in international agreements binding upon certain other foreign countries for the recognition of professional qualifications. 3. for the recognition of professional qualifications and vocational qualifications certificate applicant information institution presented identity documents and submit to: 3.1 a copy of identity document;
3.2. the application;
3.3. documents certifying the profession specified in the corresponding application to the education and professional qualifications (originals or duly certified institution of information or notarized copies);
3.4. the competent authority of the home State-issued documents (originals) proving the applicant's right to carry out professional activity in the profession or professional experience in the host country — cases that are defined by law "for the regulated professions and the recognition of professional qualifications";
3.5. documents proving the law of procedure shall pay the expenses related to the person of the recognition of professional qualifications, the said payment. 4. Documents for the recognition of professional qualifications, the applicant shall submit the original language in the national language or with a certified translation into the State language. 5. 16.2. an adaptation period or an aptitude test in accordance with the law "About the regulated professions and the recognition of professional qualifications ', if the applicant wishes to carry out professional activities regulated professions in which professional qualifications recognised through the application of the General system for the recognition of professional qualifications, or on the basis of the applicant's professional experience. 17. paragraph 16 of these rules the decisions referred to in the institution issuing the certificates of recognition, also indicate the following: 17.1 of the body (or bodies, if the choice is possible) in Latvia in which applicants can gain additional necessary education or sort the aptitude test;
17.2. the specialists in Latvia the applicant may work under the supervision of the adaptation period;
17.3. the applicant's right to choose an adaptation period or an aptitude test.
