Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 561, Riga, 26 July 2005 (pr. No 43 77. §) rules on State social security benefit and funeral benefit, its review procedure and the granting of benefits and costs the order Issued under the State social benefits law article 15, first subparagraph, and article 17, first and second part i. General provisions 1 the questions determines the State social security benefit and funeral benefit, review procedures, as well as the benefits and costs of the order.
II. State social security benefit and funeral benefit and its revision 2. State social security benefit is: 2.1. State social benefits law article 13, first paragraph, except those persons disabled since childhood,-35 Lats per month;

III. 18. to receive the death benefit, the applicant or the authorized person in any State social insurance agency in the Department (optional): 18.1 shall submit the following documents: 18.1.1. a written request for the granting of benefits;

18.2. the presentation of the following documents: 18.2.1. identity document;
18.2.2. the dead State social security benefit recipient's death certificate;
18.2.3. the power, if the benefit requires the authorized person.
19. If the rules referred to in paragraph 18 of the documents have been submitted and presented to the State social insurance agency in the Department according to the benefit of a claimant or the deceased State social security benefit recipient's declared place of residence, the decision on the burial grant award or refusal of granting the benefit of the State social insurance agency Division one working days following their submission.
20. If the rules referred to in paragraph 18 of the documents have been submitted and presented in another State social insurance agency in the Department, the decision to grant death grant or refusal to grant an allowance to the State social insurance agency division according to the benefit of the applicant or the deceased State social security benefit recipient's residence shall be adopted for trading declared their submission.
