Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 990 in Riga 2005 20 December (pr. No 76 71) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 18 March 2004, regulations No 147 "veterinary control arrangements for imports into Latvia of products of animal origin from third countries" Issued in accordance with article 53 of the law on veterinary medicine, first paragraph, point 3 and 4 do 1. Cabinet of Ministers of 18 March 2004, regulations No 147 "veterinary control arrangements for imports into Latvia of products of animal origin from third countries" (Latvian journal, 2004, 69 no) the following amendments : replace text 1.1, the word "ANIME" by the word "traces";
1.2. make and 2.3 2.4. subparagraph by the following: "2.3. products-products of animal origin, and of the Commission of 22 January 2004, Regulation (EC) No 136/2004 laying down procedures for veterinary checks at Community border inspection posts on products imported from third countries, these plant products;
2.4. inspection of documents: veterinary health certificate, or other veterinary documents accompanying the test; "
1.3. to supplement paragraph 2.5., after the word "it" with the words "content and labelling";
1.4. Express 2.6. subparagraph by the following: ' 2.6. physical inspection, product testing, which includes vehicles, packaging and temperature and also sampling for analysis and laboratory investigation; "
1.5. make 2.9. subparagraph by the following: "2.9. a border inspection post, in accordance with these terms, Cates responded equipped inspection posts, which make their products, the veterinary controls which is imported into the territory of the European Union from third countries;";

1.9. to make paragraph 4 by the following: "4. The provisions of paragraph 3 shall not apply to fresh meat, meat products, milk and milk products in accordance with the European Council on 16 April 2004, Regulation (EC) no 745/2004 laying down measures with regard to the consumption of animal products imports.";
1.10. to make paragraph 8 by the following: "9. Identity checks: 15.1.1. check that containers are imported products of animal origin, and make sure that it is not the official veterinarian or the competent authority imposed on cargo security, or information specified in the attached veterinary health certificate in veterinary documents and other information provided on the accompanying documents;
15.1.2. in other cases: all product types 15.1.2.1. check the seal, special labelling, health and identification marking and their conformity with the veterinary health certificate or veterinary documents or other documents accompanying the specified;
15.1.2.2. packed or packaged products, check the health of mar ķējum according to the labelling of animal products; ";
1.14.15.2.1 shall be expressed by the following: "15.2.1 to verify that products comply with the statutory requirements and are to be used according to the attached veterinary health certificates or other veterinary documents, or for the purpose stated on the accompanying documents;"
1.15. Express 18.2. subparagraph by the following: "If the products 18.2. release for free circulation, to the first company that is involved in any of the food chain".
1.16. Express points 22 and 23 by the following: "22. any shipment that is imported from a third country and intended for import into the territory of Latvia, according to the provisions under point 15 above requirements take the identity check and the physical check pursuant to European Parliament and Council of 29 April 2004, Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules (hereinafter referred to as the European Parliament and of the Council Regulation 882/2004/EC) and the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No 854/2004 laying down specific for products of animal origin intended for human consumption for the organisation of official controls, the above requirements.

1.28. to replace the words "in paragraph 52 of the Latvian law" with the words "legislation on veterinary controls";
1.29. delete paragraph 56;
1.30. adding to 58 after the word "other" with the words "European Union";
1.3.1. Express 60.1. subparagraph by the following: "they follow that rule 60.1. the 46 and 47 points, 49.1., 49.2.2., 49.2.3. and 49.2.4. the bottom point, 51, 52 and 53 of such requirements;";
1.32. replace 61.1. in subparagraph the word "entrepreneurs" with the word "operators";
1.33. supplement 64, after the word "other" with the words "European Union";
1.34. supplement 65.3. subparagraph after the word "other" with the words "European Union";
1.35. the deletion of paragraph 68 of the word "appropriate";
1.36. delete paragraph 69;
1.37. supplement 71.1.2. the second sentence of the subparagraph with the following: "Exceeded the deadline can be revised, if the reason for the absence is justified."
