Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 585 in 2007. Riga on august 28 (Mon. No 47 21 §) rules on the provision of food to the population of the country in the event of threats Issued in accordance with article 9 of the law on the mobilization of point 6 establishes the rules: 1 1.1. norms for the provision of food to the population of the country in the event of danger;
1.2. the arrangements for the planned provision of the population with food, as well as the issue of food and control procedures in the State in the case of danger;
1.3. national and local government bodies and duties, providing the population with food in case of threats to the country.
2. One day diet rules these foods to provide the population with food can be replaced with equivalent food products in accordance with the provisions of annex 1.
3. the citizenship and Immigration Department every year before 15 March in accordance with the provisions of annex 2 shall be submitted to the Ministry of agriculture the population registry data on population by age groups and their distribution by District municipal administrative territories and cities of the Republic by the State on January 1 of the year in question.
4. Food security programming in case of danger the country organised by the Ministry of agriculture in cooperation with the regional development and local government Ministry and local authorities.

5. food service provides of the City municipality or district municipality: 5.1 according to dietary rules these rules laid down in annex 1 to the population;
5.2. subject to the requirements of food hygiene process.
6. food procedure is coordinated by the municipal civil protection Commission.
7. food and veterinary service control: 7.1 the food safety and quality;
7.2. the hygiene requirements for food storage, transportation and the time of issue.
8. Republic City municipality or district municipality public hazards: 8.1 arrangements ensuring the food service people municipal administrative territory;
8.2. with the media to inform citizens about food service procedures and points of service;
8.3. the approved food service point manager and the required number of staff to organize the food issue;
8.4. organizes the food;
8.5. If necessary, organise transport for the supply of food to the population.
9. the Ministry of agriculture in cooperation with the regional development and local government ministries and local authorities will plan and coordinate the delivery of the food according to the deferred legislation on deferred deliveries.
10. Regional development and local government Ministry will monitor the activities of local authorities in the provision of food to the population of the country in the event of danger.
11. Regulations shall enter into force by 1 January 2008.
