Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 656 in 2007 (2 October. Nr. 55. § 12) procedures for submitting the State recognized higher education in supporting educational documents Issued in accordance with the Education Act article 14, paragraph 1, article 7 of the Law School's fourth and the fourth paragraph of article 10.1 1. criteria and procedures for the State recognized higher education supporting documents concerning the accredited study programmes, and the said documents. 2. Academic degrees, first level professional higher education, second level professional higher education and higher professional qualifications, as well as the resulting scientific qualifications certify such documents in higher education: a Bachelor's diploma and 2.1 masters diploma (annex 1);
2.2. first level professional higher education diploma (annex 2);
2.3. higher education diploma and higher diploma of professional qualifications (annex 3);
2.4. a Bachelor's degree in professional and higher professional qualifications professional diploma, master's diploma and higher professional qualifications professional diploma or master's diploma (annex 4);
2.5. the doctoral diploma (annex 5). 3. The rules referred to in paragraph 2.1 of the diplomas issued by the person who acquired the accredited academic Bachelor or master study programme and to fulfil all the relevant national education standard. 4. The rules referred to in point 2.2 of the diploma shall be issued by the person who acquired the first accredited level professional higher education study programme and to fulfil all the relevant national education standard. 5. The provisions referred to in point 2.5 of the diploma shall be issued to the person who obtained the degree of doctor of laws for the Betterment of procedures and criteria. 8. This provision 2.1., 2.2., 2.3 and 2.4 below the diplomas referred to in points added to the Diploma Supplement in Latvian and English languages (annex 6). 9. in paragraph 2 of this rule, these diplomas are made of white coated cardboard (250 g/m2). Studies in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy professional studies (5 and 6 year studies), with equal to the master degree and the graduates can continue their studies in doctoral level programs.
