The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law "amendments to the Latvian national armed forces participation in international operations" make law "Latvian national armed forces participation in international operations" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1995, nr. 7; 1996, no. 6; 2001, nr. 8; 2002, 5. no; 2008, no 3; 2009, no. 3; Latvian journal, 2011, 88, 155. No.) the following amendments: 1. Express article 1 second subparagraph by the following: "(2) the Latvian national armed forces or soldiers (troops), under the Charter of the United Nations and the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe documents, participating in international operations by international organisations resolutions, recommendations or, at the request of a Member State is the Republic of Latvia or works with the Republic of Latvia, as well as the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation or a Member State of the European Union at the request of the State or in the territory of which the international operation underway. " 2. Replace article 2 name and text, article 3.1, second paragraph, the word "unit" (the fold) with the word "troops" (the fold). 3. in article 5: replace the title of the article, in the first paragraph and second paragraph, first sentence, the word "unit" (the fold) with the word "troops" (the fold); Replace in the second sentence of the second paragraph, the words "a separate specially prepared for the national armed forces unit" with the words "specially prepared for individual national contingents of the armed forces"; replace the third paragraph, the words "rules regarding the use of the unit, as well as in cases when it is necessary to ensure the interests of the Latvian State, this unit" with the words "contingent terms of use, as well as in cases when it is necessary to ensure the interests of the Republic of Latvia, the troops". 4. in article 5.1: replace the words "in the name of the article the Latvian national armed forces soldiers participating in international operations, which sent" with the words "the Latvian national armed forces troops participating in international operations, who sent"; replace the text of the article the words "soldiers who are sent to" with the words "contingent, who has been sent"; to supplement the article with the second part as follows: "(2) For the Latvian national armed forces soldiers, who are sent to the service with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Headquarters, the military headquarters of the European Union and the Member States of these organisations, participation in the multinational headquarters for the international operation is considered by professional duties while on international operations in the region."; believe the current text of the first part of the article. 5. in article 6: replace the words "in the title of article-building units for participation in international operations and the rapid reaction force, the unit" with the words "troop building, participation in international operations and the rapid reaction force, the contingent"; replace the words "in the text of the article being created, financed and prepared the Latvian national armed forces units" with the words "designed, financed and prepared for the Latvian national armed forces troops." 6. in article 10: replace the title, the words "the unit" with the words "its troops"; replace the article's text, the words "the Latvian national armed forces" with the words "the Latvian national armed forces contingent". 7. Add to the transitional provisions in paragraph 5 by the following: "5. The Cabinet of Ministers until 2014 1 September issue of this law article 6 the provisions referred to in the order in which you create, be financed and prepared for the Latvian national armed forces troops participating in international operations and the rapid reaction force.
