The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the Penal Procedure Code of Latvia in Latvian penal procedure code in the following amendments: 1. Express 50.4 the first paragraph by the following: "the closed prison sentence being served by imprisonment the convicted men for serious or particularly serious crime, as well as inmates who moved from partly closed prison for coarse or systematic violations of the regime."
 
2. Express 50.5 the first paragraph as follows: "partly closed prison sentence being served by prison inmates: 1) of women for an intentional crime;
2) men for deliberate, less serious crime;
3 the intentional criminal offence) as if they suffered a penalty before a custodial institution and a criminal record is not deleted or removed;
4) moved from a closed prison for exemplary behaviour;
5) moved from the open prison for coarse or systematic breaches of discipline;
6) for serious or particularly serious crime, which, in adulthood the moved from juvenile correctional authorities;
7) men for serious or particularly serious crime, if the crime they had reached eighteen years of age. "
 
3. To make the first paragraph of article 50.6 as follows: "the open jail sentence being served by imprisonment inmates: 1) the intentional Commission of a criminal than if they ever endured in a custodial penalty or their previous convictions or removed;

4. Supplement article 50.11 under the fourth subparagraph by the following: "the decision of the Administrative Commission shall come into effect immediately."
Transitional provisions with the entry into force of this Act shall terminate the constitutional order of article 81 of Cabinet of Ministers issued Regulation No. 5 "amendments to the Penal Procedure Code of Latvia (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2000, nr. 3).
The Saeima adopted the law on June 8, 2000.
