Own-account transport operations are just the supporting activities of authorised economic operator;

29) recipient: the person in accordance with the contract of carriage of the cargo to be served on the endpoint;
30) international transport — transport by the need to cross the State border of Latvia;
31) liquid cargo, oil and oil products, alcohol, vegetable oil, animal fat and other cargo carried in sealed containers;
32) mixed traffic, passenger or cargo which by road and other transport to multiple carriers and the single transport document drawn up in all the driving path;
33) transport expedition services — with the shipment, transportation, receipt and storage of services and related work at the complex, which for a fee. "

4. To supplement the law with article 29.1 of the by the following: ' article 29.1. 5. Article 30:

52. article. Cabotage transport cabotage operations in the territory of Latvia is prohibited, except when they are carried out according to the Saeima approved international treaties and for each relevant movement issued a permit by the Ministry of transport. "
11. transitional provisions be supplemented with paragraph 8 by the following: ' 8. Article 49 of this law the provisions of the first paragraph apply to those engaged in international transport vehicles first registered after January 1, 1988, and national transport vehicles involved, which is first registered after 1 January 2003. "
The law shall enter into force on 1 January 2003.
The Parliament adopted the law of 9 May 2002.
