The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law "on amendments to the retirement pension system in the Ministry of the Interior staff with special ranks" make law "on retirement pension system in the Ministry of the Interior staff with special ranks" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, no. 9; 2000, no. 9) follows: 1. Turn off the article 3 paragraph 6 and 8.
2. To make article 14 the following: ' article 14. Persons leaving to live abroad, in accordance with this Act granted a retirement pension paid to the Cabinet in the order, if international agreements approved by the Parliament, not otherwise specified. "
3. transitional provisions: transitional provisions be supplemented with 11.3 points as follows: "11.3 If persons who served in the Latvian police or border guards and a crew of Latvia the Latvian stopped into the USSR, not assigned to a retirement pension, the Cabinet of Ministers and in accordance with the procedure laid down in the special supplement is granted to the national old age pensions.";
transitional provisions be supplemented by the following paragraph 13: "13. State border guard service of the staff accepted until July 1, 2002, retirement service includes 80 percent of other institutions, enterprises and organizations (companies) time worked."
The law shall enter into force on 1 July 2002.
The Parliament adopted the law of 20 June 2002.
