The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of military service to do military service Act (the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 14; 2003, 2, 15; 2004, nr. 14. no) the following amendments: 1. 6. 9) compensation for expenses of health insurance and insurance against accidents;
10) full compensation for himself and his family members to cover travel expenses once a year by going to annual leave Latvia and return the service. ';
replace the second paragraph, the words "compensation" with the words "the extent of compensation and costs order".
7. in article 52: make sixth as follows: "(6) the dead soldiers in active service are not the direct heirs (article 423 of the Civil Code) paid compensation amounting to: 1) if compulsory active military service or reserve soldiers soldiers died in service during the course of their duties, or the year after he retired from the active service of the dead injury (mutilation, concussion) or an illness caused in relation to the military service (occupational disease) — 50 000 lats;

Add to article 6.1 of the part as follows: "(61) if the active service soldiers died in service of their duties, or the year after he retired from the active service of the dead injury (mutilation, concussion) or an illness caused in relation to the military service (occupational disease), the Ministry of defense shall bear the costs of the necessary medical rehabilitation services in the course of his family (spouse, children and parents)."
8. Supplement article 61 the fifth subparagraph following the words "this Act" with a number and the words "in article 50 soldiers for benefits and compensation".
9. transitional provisions be supplemented by paragraph 13 and 14 by the following: ' 13. This law article 48 provided for in the second paragraph of the provision on compulsory active military service during the transfer of seniority from the applicable retirement in July 1, 2002.
14. Article 27 of this law is provided for in the third paragraph, the provision of social guarantees, the soldier who moved to the national security authority, shall enter into force simultaneously with the amendments to the national security authorities law. "
The Saeima adopted the law on 17 March 2005.
The President of the Parliament instead of the President i. Otter Riga 2005 April 1 editorial comment: the law shall enter into force on 15 April 2005.
