The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of asylum asylum law make (the Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 8; 2005; 2006, nr. 4, nr. 14), the amendments are as follows: 1. in article 11: make the third paragraph as follows: "(3) if the person is a minor without parental escort and wants to submit the application itself, the personal and property relations of the asylum process, family courts or its appointed representative of the guardian whether the childcare authorities. ";
Supplement to the eighth article as follows: "(8) the expenses incurred, accommodating a child care institution of minors without parental escort, in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers and about cost of children and Family Affairs Ministry for the current year were assigned for this purpose State budget."
2. Article 20: put the title as follows: "article 20. "Accommodation of asylum seekers;
replace the first paragraph, the words "during the examination of application" with the words "the asylum process";
Add to article 1.1 part as follows: "(11) the asylum-seeker-minor without parental escort, taking the asylum seeker accommodation Center, at the guardian appointed by the family courts or child care institution. A decision on a minor who is without parental escort, accommodation Accommodation Centre for asylum seekers, to the guardian or child care institution shall adopt the family courts, clarifying the Department's views. Decision shall be adopted, taking into account the minor's interests and its views according to the person's age and maturity, subject to the following conditions: 1) minor without parental escort, taking along with the minor relatives;
2) children of one family is inseparable, except when it is done in the interest of the child;
3) underage persons is without parental escort, change residence only where it meets the person's interests. "
3. Express transitional provisions in paragraph 6 by the following: "6. Until 1 January 2009 the family courts, adopting this law, article 20 of the decision referred to in paragraph 1.1 of the minors who are without parental escort, accommodation, accommodation of minors at the guardian or the asylum seeker accommodation Center."
4. Make the informative reference to European Union directives as follows: "Informative reference to European Union directives, the law includes provisions resulting from: 1) of the Council of 20 July 2001, of Directive 2001/55/EC on minimum standards in the event of a mass influx of displaced persons for giving temporary protection and on measures promoting a balance of efforts between Member States in receiving such persons and bearing the consequences thereof;
2) Council of 27 January 2003 of Directive 2003/9/EC laying down minimum standards for the reception of asylum seekers;
3) Council of December 1 Directive 2005/85/EC on minimum standards on procedures in Member States for granting and withdrawing refugee status. " The law adopted by the Parliament in the 2007 October 25. President Valdis Zatlers in Riga of the 2007 November 7
