The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on the support of the unemployed and jobs seekers to make the unemployed and job seekers support Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 12; 2004, nr. 11, 8. No; 2005; 2006; 2007, no. 13, no. 15) the following amendments: 1. Express article 4 the third subparagraph by the following: "(3) the cabinet shall determine the amount of the unemployment grants for vocational training , retraining and refresher time and informal educational and scholarship award procedures. "
2. Turn off the third paragraph of article 6, the word "(councils)."
3. To make article 9 the second paragraph as follows: "(2) the active employment measures, as well as unemployment scholarship professional training, retraining and qualification improvement and non-formal education during the acquisition cost from the country during the General and special employment budget."
4. Make article 13, paragraph 3 as follows: "3) receive scholarship professional training, retraining and qualification improvement and non-formal education during the acquisition time;".
5. Express article 17 the fifth subparagraph by the following: "(5) the administrative law issue of the licence, as well as license suspension or cancellation of the licence issued by the State employment agency."
6. transitional provisions: replace paragraph 7, the words "this Act" with numbers and the words "on 25 May 2006 in this Act";
transitional provisions be supplemented by the following paragraph 13: "13. Amendment of article 6 of this law, in the third paragraph, the words" in respect of "exclusion (councils) shall enter into force on July 1, 2009."
The law shall enter into force on March 1, 2009.
The Parliament adopted the law on 5 February 2009.
President Valdis Zatlers in Riga V 2009 February 25, editorial comment: the law shall enter into force on March 1, 2009.
