The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendment to the law "on the Convention on the rights of the child of the additional protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict" make law "The Convention on the rights of the child of the additional protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflicts" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2005, nr. 20) following amendment: replace the words "in article 2 of the children and Family Affairs Ministry" with the words "Ministry of welfare".
The law shall enter into force on July 1, 2009.
The Parliament adopted the law of 12 June 2009.
