The Saeima has adopted and the President issued the following law: amendments to the law "about the measurement unity" make law "on a uniformity of measurements" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1997, 7; 1998, nr. 9. no; 1999, no. 7; 2001, nr. 10; 2004, nr. 13; 2006, no. 15; 2008, nr. 24) as follows: 1. Replace article 5, second paragraph, the words "Metrology and accreditation agency (hereinafter metrological Agency)" with the words "limited liability Company" standardization Metrology, accreditation and Centre "(hereinafter metrological Office)".
2. Replace the entire text except for the transitional provisions, the words "metrological agency" (fold) with the words "Office for Metrology" (fold).
3. in article 14: turn off the second part;
turn off the third-part 5.
The law shall enter into force on July 1, 2009.
The Parliament adopted the law of 12 June 2009.
