The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of national security institutions to make the national security authorities Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1994, nr. 11; 1995, no. 18; 1996; 1998, no. 23, no. 12; 1999; 2000, no. 14, no. 15; 2002, nr. 2, 16; 2004, nr. 9; 2005, 14, 22 no 2006, No 14;; 2007, 16.9, no; 2009 15., 2., no; Latvian journal, 2009, 182, 196. No.) the following amendments: 1. Add to article 10 the first paragraph with paragraph 10 by the following: ' 10) they determine the competence of the classified information exchanged with foreign institutions, international organizations and their institutions. "
2. in article 14: make the second part of paragraph 1 by the following: "1) acquires and supports the Ministry of defence, its subordinated bodies, other State authority and administration, administering authorities and their officers, as well as the national armed forces with their need for Counterintelligence and intelligence;"
to supplement the article with the seventh subparagraph by the following: "(7) the military intelligence and security service of the Republic of Latvia national intelligence authority signals that performs and controls the signal intelligence and ensure the protection of the information obtained."
The Parliament adopted the law in 2009 December 10.
President Valdis Zatlers in Riga V 2009 December 30
