The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the movement of genetically modified organisms Act to make genetically modified organisms Act (of the Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2008, no. 1, 2009, no 16; Latvian journal, 2009, 194. No.) the following amendments: 1. Make the first paragraph of article 5, point 4 of the following: "4) sets out the requirements and procedures for the monitoring, control and record the genetically modified crops growers and exchanging information relating to the genetically modified crops growers, as well as requirements for genetically modified crops grower training analyst and the right to issue certificates of training;".
2. in article 22: in the fourth paragraph, replace the words "Environment Ministry" with the words "the protection of the environment and the Ministry of regional development";
turn off the sixth paragraph, the words "regional development and Municipal Affairs Ministry."
The law shall enter into force on January 1, 2011.
