The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on the amendments to the advertising done advertising Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2000, no. 3; 2004, nr. 10; 2007; 2008 21 no, 3, nr. 24) as follows: 1. Article 7: adding to article 2.1 and 2.2 of the part as follows: "(21) ad placement in public places or places against the public place , obtain a the municipal or local government bodies of the specified permission.
(22) the cabinet shall determine the order in which received permission for advertising in public places or places against public place. ';
make the third paragraph as follows: "(3) subject to this Act and other legislative provisions in the field of advertising, have the right to issue binding rules on ad placement in public places and places against a public place, providing for restrictions on the size of the ad, to the way light and sound effects for the environment, buildings and premises, as well as determining the architecture in which prohibited individual products, product groups or service advertising."
2. Replace article 13, first paragraph, the words "radio and Television Council" with the words "national electronic media Council".
3. To supplement the law with the following transitional provisions: "this law, the transitional provision of article 2.1 and 2.2 of the part, as well as the new third paragraph shall enter into force on January 1, 2012."
The Saeima adopted the law on 17 March 2011.
