The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the law "on the status of national sports base" make law "on the status of national sports base" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2009, No 9) follows: 1. Article 5: replace the first subparagraph of paragraph 1, the words "national sports base register" with the words "sports base register";
make the first part of paragraph 5 by the following: "5) it is appropriate to the world or European Championships, their stage of the Cup, the Cup and the qualification of competitions;";
to supplement the article with the third part as follows: "(3) sports base in conformity with the first paragraph of this article 5 the condition laid down in paragraph confirms at least one of the relevant international Sports Federation or Federation authorised this on behalf of sports law in the relevant Sports Federation."
2. in article 6: make the second paragraph as follows: "(2) the Ministry of education and science of sports owner's application database look four months of its receipt. If there are objective reasons, consideration of the application may be extended for a period not exceeding six months from the date of receipt of the application, notifying the owner of the sports base. ";
replace the third paragraph, the words "referred to in the second subparagraph of article" with the words "this article and a number of the actions referred to in 3.1;
Add to article 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 of the part as follows: "(31) the Ministry of education and science, in considering the application, checks the compliance of sport base of this law article 5 conditions (hereinafter referred to as the sports base initial inspection) and requires the National Sports Council (hereinafter Council) opinion on the sports base compliance with national sports base status (in compliance with this law, the provisions of article 5).
(32) the sports base initial inspection, the Ministry of education and science is entitled to request a sports database owner documents and explanations, as well as sports base reviews its owner's presence or absence. On the sports base for initial inspection of the Ministry of education and science, at least five working days advance written notice to the owner of the sports base. The procedure is performed in the sports base initial verification shall be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
(33) the Ministry of education and science in the month following receipt of the opinion of the Council shall be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers sports database owner's application, the opinion of the Council and other documents referred to in this article. "
3. Article 10: replace the first paragraph, the word "two" with the word "four";
replace the third paragraph, the words "five working days" with the word "month".
The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation.
The Saeima adopted the law on 9 June 2011.
