The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the life of seeds and varieties in the law to make seeds and varieties of life Act (the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1999, no. 22; 2002, 11 no, no. 22; 2003; 2004, 13, 21, 1. No; 2006; 2007, nr. 3. no; 2008, no. 15, no. 20, 2009; Latvian journal 2010, 206. No.) the following amendments: 1. in article 2: replace paragraph 4 of point "b", the word "assessment" by the words "database maintenance" of the evaluation; to supplement the article with a paragraph 5 by the following: "5) Latvian University of agriculture provides the economic characteristics of plant varieties in accordance with evaluation of legislation on economic characteristics of plant varieties." 2. Supplement article 4 with a fifth by the following: "(5) the national plant protection service information on persons registered on its Web site." 3. To supplement the law with article 5.2 as follows: "article 5.2. Authorization for marketing of seed mixtures for the conservation of the natural environment State plant protection service of the decision on the authorisation to market seed mixtures for the conservation of the natural environment of the issue or refusal to issue a permit shall be taken within 12 months of the legislation on the marketing of fodder plant seed mixtures for the conservation of the natural environment, in particular to the application date, but not later than within five working days after all the laws that determine the quality of the seed of the receipt of the supporting documents. " 4. in article 11.1: Supplement 3 of the first paragraph, second sentence, after the word "requirements" with the words "order and pricing"; to replace the tenth paragraph, the words "internet site" with the words "Web site". 5. Make the second paragraph of article 12.1, as follows: "(2) in the list of varieties, diet and your website placed on the national plant protection services."
6. transitional provisions: replace paragraph 13 numbers and names in the "31 December 2011" with numbers and the words "31 December 2013"; transitional provisions be supplemented with 15 and 16 points as follows: "15. amendments of this law article 2 paragraph 4 b above in relation to the word" evaluation "with the words" evaluation database maintenance "shall enter into force on august 1, 2012. 16. The economic characteristics of varieties of plants, which are harvested for 2012, the national plant protection services shall be provided in accordance with the methodology with which the evaluation of varieties is launched. " The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation. The Parliament adopted the law of June 21, 2012.
