The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the law "on the State revenue service" to make the law "on the State revenue service" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1993; 1995, no. 34, 23., 24. Complement 4. the second paragraph of article 12.1 and 12.2 of the paragraph by the following: "121) empowers the Customs officers to stop the vehicle for carrying out of customs control, the customs territory of the Republic of Latvia and to deliver the vehicle to Customs Office customs controls; 122) authorised officials of the Customs authorities to take a decision on the treatment of a person for which there are sufficient grounds to consider that when entering the customs territory of the Republic of Latvia, or exit from, that person lies to himself, goods undergoing clearance items or undeclared cash or goods articles or substances, which transfer across the State border is prohibited, or suspected, that person's body is swallowed or inserted goods subject to customs clearance or banned substances in a way violating the laws and regulations in the field of customs as well as the decision to establish the Customs offices a clerk to make the viewing of such persons; " 2. in article 13: replace the second paragraph, the words "on the customs border" with the words "customs territory of the Republic of Latvia"; Add to article at the eighth, ninth and tenth by the following: "8. the Director-General of the State revenue service by authorized officials of the Customs authorities have the right to stop the vehicle for carrying out of customs control, the customs territory of the Republic of Latvia and to deliver the vehicle to customs authorities for the performance of customs control. 9. the State revenue service customs officials during a customs control has the right to carry out searches of the person. 10. the Director-General of the State revenue service notified officials of the Customs authorities of the decision certain customs officials have the right to take the view of any person for which there are sufficient grounds to consider that when entering the customs territory of the Republic of Latvia, or exit from, that person lies to himself, goods undergoing clearance items or undeclared cash or goods articles or substances, which transfer across the State border is prohibited If there is a suspicion that a person's body is swallowed or inserted goods subject to customs clearance or banned substances, in a way violating the laws and regulations in the field of customs.
