The ISTITUTO PER LA VIGILANZA SULLE ASSICURAZIONI having regard to law no 576 August 12, 1982, and subsequent modifications and additions concerning the reform of supervision of insurance; Having regard to the Legislative Decree of September 7, 2005, # 209, and subsequent amendments thereto, bearing the code of Private insurance; Having regard to law no 262 December 28, 2005 laying down rules for the protection of savings and the discipline of financial markets; Having regard to the Legislative Decree of December 5, 2005, # 252, and subsequent modifications and integrations, laying down the rules of complementary pension schemes; Having regard to Legislative Decree No 58 February 24, 1998 and subsequent amendments thereto, bearing the consolidated law on financial intermediation and its implementing rules; Having regard to the Legislative Decree of September 6, 2005, n. 206, embodying the code of consumption and, in particular, part III, title III, chapter I, section IV-bis on the distance marketing of consumer financial services; Having regard to the Decree-Law July 6, 2012 # 95, containing "urgent provisions for review of public spending with the invariance of services to citizens", converted by law no August 7, 2012. 135, IVASS's founding; Having regard to the need to supplement the provisions of Regulation No 24 of May 19, 2008 in the light of the Guidelines on complaints handling by Insurance Undertakings issued by EIOPA and given the opportunity to reduce some of the terms in the claims management process IVASS, for the benefit of consumers adopt the following procedure: Art. 1 changes to chapter I-General provisions of Regulation No 24 of 19 September 2008 1. The art. 2 (definitions) of ISVAP Regulation No. 24 of May 19, 2008 is amended as follows: a) the letter o), is replaced by the following letter o): "IVASS or authority": the Istituto per la vigilanza sulle assicurazioni;
