The active substance ioxynil wasn't supported by the undertakings concerned for the renewal of the approval and this decision she was informed the European Commission as per procedure laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.
The approval of the active substance concerned is expired on February 28, 2015 and therefore plant protection products containing this active substance are to be revoked with effect from that date.
Marketing, by the holders of authorisations of plant protection products and quantities regularly produced at the time of the revocation of the active substance ioxynil, and sale, retailers and/or distributors, such plant protection products have been revoked, it is allowed for 6 months from the date of dismissal and therefore until August 31, 2015.
The use of plant protection products, active substance based ioxynil and 12 months from the date of revocation is permitted and therefore until February 29, 2016.
