With the Ministerial Decree No. 1209 of December 4, 2014, to Brigadier-General Tuscan Gabriele De Col, born on April 28, 1962 in Rome, she was awarded the Silver Cross of merit of the army with the following motivation: "general officer employed by the UN Mission in Lebanon, with its extraordinary sense of duty and by exceptional fortitude, was operating with an iron will and Director, contributing actively to the activity carried out by the Commander of UNIFIL in order to encourage the development and the success of various operations. In a complex environment, characterised by inter-ethnic tension, social decay and subversive activity, he optimized the integration of the various operational components and international military staff bodies, suggesting solutions whose reported importance was unanimously recognised by representatives of thirty-seven countries participating in the mission. Shining figure of general officer who, with his work, helped raise the prestige of the Italian armed forces in an international context, giving luster to the Italian Army». -Naqoura (Lebanon), 28 January 2012-18 December 2013
