The Ministry of agriculture and forestry examined the question aimed at obtaining protection of the name ' Pampapato di Ferrara»/«Pampepato» as a protected geographical indication under Regulation (EC) No 1151/12 of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 21, 2012, presented by the Organising Committee of producers of «Ferrara»/«Pampapato Pampepato» PGI-C/o Department of Agriculture of the province of Ferrara-Via Borgoleoni # 11-44121 Ferrara and acquired also the opinion of Emilia Romagna region, delivers a favourable opinion on the same and on the proposed specification in the text below.
Any comments, properly motivated, regarding this proposal should be submitted, the Ministry of agricultural food and forestry policies-Department of quality policies competitive agri-food, fisheries and agri-food dellaqualita-Direzionegeneraleperlapromozione ' horse and horse racing-Former PQA III-Via XX Settembre n. 20-00187 Rome-within 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic of the proposal , by interested parties and will be subject to appropriate assessment on the part of that Ministry, before sending the proposal of recognition to the European Commission.
After that period, in the absence of such comments or after their assessment if received, the above proposal will be notified for registration according to art. 49, paragraph 3 of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012, to the competent bodies.
